Project AER (Adventure, Exploration, RPG) is a WIP modpack created with minimalism in mind; bringing popular mods together without having to wait 30+ minutes for forge to load them all.
The pack particularly emphasises on including adventure-, exploration- and RPG-focused mods. The idea is to create a "vanilla+" or "modded lite" experience.
Project AER allows you to explore the mysterious Twilight Forest dimension, or even create your own dimensions to explore with Mystcraft's magic books.
Magic mods such as Astral Sorcery, Thaumcraft and Electroblob's Wizardry give you the tools to create potent magical artefacts and become a master wizard (or witch), and with ProjectE you can even exploit the Law of Equivalent Exchange to turn lead into gold.
Pam's HarvestCraft and will keep you well-fed, whilst Rustic will allow you to brew beverages and elixirs to stave off the effects of combat.
Scour the world for Roguelike Dungeons' sprawling labyrinths to recover their loot, take up arms against the Ender Dragon in a suit of carefully-crafted Tinkers' armour, and more!
You'll also find in this modpack some standard quality-of-life mods like JustEnoughItems for looking up all those pesky recipes, JourneyMap for keeping track of your surroundings and Hwyla so that you'll always know what you're looking at.
