Build a workshop. Write its software. Explore beyond it.
864 Craft brings Create engineering, ComputerCraft programming, and exploration together. Build a home, discover new dimensions, and turn your base into a workshop with moving machinery, automated kitchens, programmable computers, and ambitious vehicles.
Make the workshop your own
- Create and its addons: build mechanical production lines, automate food with Slice & Dice, explore engines and fuels with Diesel Generators, and expand processing with Enchantment Industry and Dragons Plus.
- Aircraft, artillery, and space: work toward Create Aeronautics builds, Create Big Cannons, and Create: Creating Space projects.
- Programmable automation: use CC: Tweaked computers and turtles, supported by Advanced Peripherals, CC:C Bridge, and NeoPeripherals, to connect code to your machines.
- Adventure between projects: explore varied biomes, structures, creatures, and dimensions, follow adventure quests, and build a home with decorative and quality-of-life features.
Workshop update: learn by building
Download 0.1.0-alpha.9 — Placement Controls Fix. This Alpha release is approved and publicly available. If your launcher hides Alpha releases, use the direct file page or enable Alpha versions.
The workshop update includes 74 custom quests across 10 workshop chapters alongside the adventure quest book. Start with your first computer program or water wheel, then follow lessons for flight, cannons, automated cooking, engines, processing, and space. Item objectives detect what you carry without consuming your equipment. Practice objectives let you mark a lesson complete after trying it yourself.
The update also provides an F8 backpack shortcut, revised menu details, and compatibility fixes. Prior workshop QA covered client connection, equipment and backpack access, quest progress, and save persistence. The gallery contains captures from that earlier QA build. Exact alpha.9 CurseForge import/runtime testing has not been performed; full contraption and space progression still need playtesting.
Alpha.9 keeps K for shader toggling and leaves Quark Rotation Lock unbound on new installations. Existing profiles preserve their preferences: if Rotation Lock is still assigned, unbind it in Controls, then fully quit and relaunch Minecraft to clear any active rotation lock.
Your game, your look
A custom 864 Craft menu and visual identity welcome you in. Optional Complementary shader choices offer different looks; shaders start disabled so you can choose what suits your machine. Simple Voice Chat is included for multiplayer servers configured to support it.
Getting started
- Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.250, and Java 21.
- Install each release as its own CurseForge profile. Start with 8 GB allocated memory and adjust for your machine.
- Open the quest book, use JEI for recipes, and explore Create's Ponder animated tutorials.
- Keep client and server versions matched. Voice chat needs compatible server mods and its UDP port configured. End-to-end voice audio between two players has not yet been verified for alpha.9.
- This is an early alpha. Back up existing saves before changing packs. Worlds from other Minecraft versions or loaders may need a separate migration process; lossless conversion of an older Forge world is not guaranteed.
