The main mods are ChromatiCraft, Thaumcraft, BloodMagic, Botania, Witchery. In addition to them, there are several good mods that will decorate your world and your survival.

It's better to choose 4-6 GB of RAM. More than this norm you will be unhappy with your FPS :(
