Primal Hunt: Ascension is an RPG-focused modpack by FrostFlame Studio for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge 47.4.10). Explore a harsher world, fight with skill-based combat, and grow your character through races, classes, professions, and abilities — all built around our custom mod, Ascendant.

Core mod — Ascendant (FrostFlame Studio)

Ascendant is the heart of the pack. It adds:

Races & classes with distinct playstyles and progression
Professions with specialized skills (Explorer fully implemented in this beta)
Primal Scan — inspect mobs, items, and blocks for detailed RPG stats
Racial progression — advance through ranks (G → S)
Scaled combat & XP — mob difficulty and rewards scale with level; balanced for solo and co-op

Requires Ascendant from CurseForge — do not mix JAR versions between players in multiplayer.

Fresh installs ship with default keybindings (via Default Options) so Epic Fight and Ascendant do not fight over the same keys.

Status — Beta 0.3

Public beta. Saves from 0.2.0-beta are compatible. Expect ongoing balance tweaks, bug fixes, and content updates.

Known limitations (this beta):

Profession abilities: Explorer only
Class evolutions at level 25 — not yet implemented
Ascendant dungeons — mobs, bosses, and loot still in progress
Apotheosis — planned for a future release
