Seeking to find a modpack which included buildcraft, industrialcraft, thaumcraft, and Project E, without using more than 4 gigs of RAM, I failed to find a worthy modpack. So I said "We'll do it Live!" and here it is.

Industrialcraft, buildcraft, project red, and more, with as much integration as available for seamless connection between them, can allow you to never pick up a pickaxe again. Do you want to fly around with magic wands, rings, and spells? Thaumcraft, Project E, and blood magic are here to make you the god of your minecraft world. The desired integration, mostly captured through Thermal Foundation, UniDict, and other mods, allow for interaction between different mods so that you are always open for expansion in any direction you choose, not locked into an early game mistake.
