Edit: This is a low priority sideproject that is unlikely to get updated to 1.12 or higher due to several key mods not beeing avaible in a form I'd like for this. Currently getting at most sparse updates unless someone takes a fancy in helping out. Original text below.

The world got overrun with evil monsters. They came from everywhere. Technology could not keep up. Magic only managed to limit the damages a bit. Most of anything that we consider civilisation is gone. Ruins are left, tons of monsters and a few survivors.

Can you reclaim the land and become a succesfull survivor? Can you do more with magic then just preserve yourself?

Scavenge from the past, build the future with lowest tech level and some magic, which is mostly liquid courage.

This modpack heavily relies on the lost cities mod, it alters the world generation so that partly destroyed city buildings are all over the place, full of treasure and peril due to chests and hidden spawners.

The difficulty level is higher then regular minecraft, but not unfair since it is easier to get basic things like armor and ressources from plundering structures or using the natural ressources.

It's easy to get armor if you just try to make do with what is avaible, which is very much in spirit with the scavenging and survival focus as well as the combat and exploration.

No risk, no gain. No plan, no progress. Since this is pretty much after the end of the world.. tech is sparse and at most you may find bits and pieces that remind of former glory, like great weapons.

Magic is avaible, but centers on nature and potions, its possible to become overpowered, but it requires either great planning, great luck or both. It's not easy beeing a great mage when theres very little to learn left. The totemic mod covers nature, plus buffing oneself, and the potions from not enough potions make it possible to do a lot.. if one can brew them.

Luck factor comes into play with quality weapons, any weapon, tool, bauble or armor you craft could become legendary. Or less then ordinary if your luck is bad.

Yes there are baubles, most will be selfcrafted and hopefully get blessings due to quality weapons.

Food is covered by several mods, you will have options in that regard, seafood, new dishes with old and new incredients. You won't starve unless you are reckless.

Basically, overall this will be a challenge from the get go for everyone, but anyone who adapts will thrive. Lots of exploration due to strcutures all over the place, lots of combat since the structures are full of baddies and lots of low tech and some magic. You may be surprised how good armor made out of planks can get.

You get some reassonable storage options, but nothing high tech. I hope you like iron chests.

To balance everything out there are a good number of quality of life type mods in here, the world is dangerous enough as is, so the trees will be mostly save and friendly, but with no mobs spawning of them and the extra ressources you will get from them.

What you will not get: VeinMiner, high tech or extremely complicated magic. Not much in terms of extra mobs . No extra dimensions. No better building wands or chisel either. Building is not a big focus of this pack, but there are some nice new building blocks that can be made to possibly patch structures up a player takes a fancy in.

And for humor purposes.. the llamas and bunnies are very fashionable. Someone had to take over the fashion industry after the end of the world after all. Creepers try to get into the market as well, so beware the hats.

Please start this pack with the default lost cities world generation. Otherwise there is little point. ;)

I made this pack on a whim months ago, since the packs that used the lost cities mod that is the heart of this pack simply did not appeal to me at all.

At this time I think its needed to share it and see if this can become good for more then just me.

Warning, my json skils are almost non-existant, ~~so items still need hiding and~~ loot tables need adjusting. I'd honestly like some help. Quests may or may not happen depending on help.
