Summary:  BALANCE PATCH

This update mainly balances a lot of the gameplay, especially surrounding loot tables, battles, and much more.  Hopefully this also helps show the feedback in the community being listened to.  I try my best to work on this as much as I can!

Tweaks:

    • Default world type is now set to Poketerra Landmass Settings (Terraforged)
    • Tweaked how much Forge energy pokemobs give you
    • Reduced maxColonySize = 16 (was 20)
    • Reduced minColonyDistance = 8 (was 10)
    • Reduced initialColonySize = 4 (was 5)
    • Now Colonies must be at least 300 blocks from spawn and within 5000 blocks of spawn
    • Increased Raid Difficulty by 10%
    • Players can infect other players when they can no longer speak in chat
    • Switched keybinds of The Pokemon Recall [Now C], Voice PTT [Now V], and Recall (Now X).  Playing more found this to be a bit more ergonomic

 

  • Lol the little things

 

    • Terraforged is now the default world type with the Poketerra Continent preset.
    • Lowered entity damage taken by 10%
    • Slightly lowered pokemon spawn rate
    • Tightened spawn level variance
    • Lowered Shiny Rates
    • Increased Minimum pokemon size (.2 -> .33)
    • Disable Lake spawns for Pokecube structures (compat fix)
    • Decreased Pokemon Ranged attack damage multiplier (0.9 -> 0.5)
    • Decreased Pokemon Contact attack damge multiplier (1.0 -> 0.6)
      • These two damage changes are mainly to make combat time with pokemobs last longer
    • Reduced Range attack distace (12 -> 9)
    • Increased pokemob damage to other mobs (1.25 -> 1.5)
      • Ensure their debuff isn’t TOO hard
    • Simplified some AI
    • Pokemobs will now despawn if more than 128 blocks away and a player does not return to it for 60 seconds
      • Should be a good boost for the server optimization
    • Increased xp from pokemon multiplier (1.8 -> 2.0)
    • Reduced curve on exp from mobs to "(h)*((a/6)+4.20)^1.69"
      • Was "(h)*((a/2)+1)^1.69"
      • Exp got too high lol
      • Makes health more of an importance whilst nerfing bonus xp from armor.
    • Made Cave gen bigger
    • Reduced mining exhaustion rate (1.09 ->1.011)
      • This seem small but is a major decrease since I believe this multiplies on eachother per y level decrease and at 1.0 is no increase in exhaustion
    • Turned off minecolonies protection
    • Ice resistance is gained as a passive perk at a Dietary Complexity of 9 and Insulation  (cold and hot resistance) is gained as a perk at a Dietary Complexity of 18
    • Changed the recipes of 9 Eyes of Ender to have 2 related badges. Magical, Guardian, and Wither eye still come from their respective badgers and can’t be crafted.
    • Revamped Gun System.  Now guns are more “old-ish” and much more balanced in terms of how one achieves it and uses it.  Previous guns were too OP in any form to really fit alongside how much damage one could do.

 

  • “The denizens of the land never felt the need to ever create weapons until these events entered our world...  The wormhole that opened up pandora’s box of mysteries forced our evolution.  We had to adapt or die.”
  • Initial release will premiere only pre-1900’s guns.  Following expansions will expand the scope of weapons to around WWII down the line.

 

  • Did a LOT of Cleaning up with JEI and recipes.
  • Melons and Beetroots can grow in the Autumn and Winter now.
  • Vanilla animals are possible to achieve through spawners, spawn eggs, and cocoon of caprice, but they still do not spawn normally.

Bug Fixes:

  • Illagers+ incompat. With Illagers wear armor
  • Creeper spore crashing server with undefeatables fixed
