I don't know if optifine will work but if you don't need shaders there are fps boosting mods like FPS Reducer,spark,and BetterFps in the modpack.

I forgot to configure Bad Mobs so you will have to remove some overworld mobs like Skeletons,Witches,Creepers, and etc.
