This modpack is a 1.20.1 reincarnation of the original "Plisko's Adventure Town" which was built for 1.19.3. While it retains most of the original mods, a few are still catching up. Additionally, I've included a selection of my favorite mods that have been absent for a while. The modpack is also designed to work on a dedicated server so it includes some server side utilities and as of October 2023, we have testers actively playing each update on a private dedicated server.
"Plisko's Adventure Town" encompasses town building, quality of life enhancements, decoration, exploration, and adventures. Players can look forward to improved vanilla villages, which bolster the world's natural populations. Expect a plethora of beautifully designed world-generated towns, dungeons, and serene locations. The pack also introduces several additional biomes for exploration. For those with a regal bent, an intricate colony-building mod is available.
Traverse the vast landscapes with ease — whether you fancy being a doggy rider, soaring the skies in a simple aircraft or a grand airship, or perhaps riding a majestic dragon! If the seas call out to you, delve into its depths and confront the mysteries beneath. The world unveils itself through a map and a mini-map, and players can set waystones and warp points marking their favorite spots. The explorers among you might even discover the secret to finding their heart's desires!
The modpack is replete with quality-of-life features: sophisticated tools, swift tree harvesting, fast-climbing ladders, an enhanced inventory and crafting system, backpacks, sleeping bags, advanced storage solutions, carrying mechanics for chests and animals, improved campfires, anvil repair, exquisite cooking, gardening. For the foodies among us, healthy eating brings rewards!
For the dedicated builders, a vast array of building blocks and furniture mods await, along with advanced gadgets and building wands. Alternatively, establish a town and get things done with your townsfolk who can deliver it to your door. But be cautious: if you work them too hard, let them get sick, or put their lives at risk, they might not work very hard for you.
For those who prefer the tinkering and engineering lifestyle, dive into the various technology mods. Create gadgets and mechanisms, use ender technology, ride the rails, build automation, wear high-tech power suits, or fly rockets into space!. And for the truly reclusive and studied enthusiasts, there is enough magic available to blow up your base, create blood sacrifices and generally make all your friends very nervous about your behavior.
