This pack originally started out as a Pixelmon mod pack for some friends and me, but as we kept adding onto it we thought that other people might enjoy playing it as well.
PixelTekk Legends combines the exploration feel of Legends Arceus along with the grind-heavy gameplay of classic Tekkit. With the heavy use of backport mods of modern Minecraft versions along with various movement-based mods such as wall jump you finally get the explore an open world just like legends Arceus without the hand-holding limitations of that game. Then combine that with some classic Tekkit mods like IC2 and you'll have the option for full automation, resource gathering, and end goals to reach for if just pure Pokemon-like gameplay isn't for you.
