Description
PHAGE-8
The world was never meant to survive Ground Zero.
In a desperate attempt to end a global conflict, a classified radioactive warhead was detonated over the heart of a sprawling metropolitan city. The explosion vaporized millions instantly, but the true catastrophe came afterward. Buried deep beneath the city was an experimental parasitic organism undergoing military research. The immense radiation from the nuclear blast didn't destroy it—it transformed it.
The organism evolved into PHAGE-8.
Within hours, the parasite spread through the radioactive fallout, contaminating the air, water, and every living thing it touched. Victims suffered violent seizures before the parasite invaded their nervous systems, rewriting their brains and mutating their bodies into savage, relentless predators. Some hosts continued to evolve for months, growing armored bone plating, elongated limbs, parasitic tendrils, and grotesque biomass capable of infecting anything nearby.
The city was quarantined.
No one ever left.
Years later, the blast zone has become an overgrown graveyard. Towering skyscrapers disappear beneath vines and moss, highways are swallowed by forests, and abandoned streets are littered with rusting vehicles and skeletal remains. Nature has reclaimed the ruins, but beneath the greenery, PHAGE-8 continues to thrive. Entire buildings have become living hives, their walls pulsating with parasitic growths that spread deeper into the city with every passing season.
Every shadow hides something hungry.
Every abandoned subway echoes with movement.
And the infection never stops evolving.
Steel Vanguard Extermination Group (SVEG)
When human soldiers could no longer survive inside the quarantine zone, the world's remaining governments created the Steel Vanguard Extermination Group (SVEG).
Rather than risking more lives, SVEG deployed autonomous military drones, robotic patrol units, armored walkers, and aerial hunter-killer aircraft programmed with one objective:
ERADICATE ALL BIOLOGICAL THREATS.
Initially, SVEG successfully held the quarantine line, destroying infected by the thousands. But decades without maintenance, combined with radiation damage and corrupted command networks, slowly altered their operating systems.
Unable to receive updated orders, the machines continue executing their final directive.
Their sensors no longer distinguish between infected and healthy survivors.
To SVEG...
If it breathes, it is a target.
The city's streets are constantly patrolled by autonomous combat drones equipped with machine guns, rockets, thermal optics, motion sensors, and advanced target recognition systems. Flying surveillance drones scan rooftops while quadrupedal assault robots stalk abandoned alleyways. Massive armored walkers guard critical facilities, reducing anything that moves to rubble before continuing their endless patrol.
Fragments of their original military programming still echo through loudspeakers:
"Unauthorized biological presence detected."
"Remain stationary for threat assessment."
"Identification failed."
"Hostile confirmed."
"Commencing extermination."
The City
The quarantine zone has become a place where two unstoppable forces collide.
On one side, the ever-mutating horrors of PHAGE-8, consuming every living creature and reshaping the city into a massive parasitic ecosystem.
On the other, the relentless machines of Steel Vanguard Extermination Group, tirelessly hunting anything with a heartbeat.
Survivors are trapped between monsters that never tire and machines that never question.
Every expedition into the city is a gamble.
Every sound could attract a horde.
Every flash of light could summon a drone patrol.
The forest has swallowed the skyline.
The streets belong to the infected.
The skies belong to SVEG.
And beneath the cracked concrete, PHAGE-8 is still growing.
Welcome to Ground Zero.
