🔥 The Truth About v1.12.3

So. About last time. The devlog said "faster, smoother, vastly less explosive." The game was, in fact, still explosive. Catastrophically so. Crashes so violent they didn't just close the game — they closed your will to live. We described a playable experience. We shipped a digital grenade. We apologize to no one, but we do acknowledge that this was, technically speaking, bad.

💥 The Crashes: An Autopsy

They were nasty. Like, embarrassingly nasty. The kind of crashes that make you question your life choices and whether modpack development was ever a good idea. We have now located, confronted, and beaten them one by one. The game no longer detonates upon being looked at. You can open it. You can play it. You can close it intentionally, like a normal person. This is new. We are proud.

🧹 What Actually Changed

A number of mods were being extremely naughty. Not in the fun way. They were conflicting, screaming at each other in the background, and dragging the entire game down with them into the void. We have sat them down, had a very serious talk, and adjusted the worst offenders. The mod list has been cleaned up, stabilized, and gently threatened. It is now behaving.

The performance gains from last patch? Still here. Turns out they survived the chaos. 15 chunks still feels like 12. The recipe book still loads fast. The accidental miracle remains miraculously accidental.

📦 CurseForge Can't Have This One

This pack requires mods that CurseForge simply refuses to bundle. We tried everything. FileDirector, workarounds, gentle negotiation, aggressive staring at crash logs for several hours. Nothing worked. The CurseForge install button will give you a version that crashes immediately and confidently. It is not your fault. It is CurseForge's fault. We have made peace with this.

The solution is simple. Download the full pack from MEGA below, open CurseForge, hit the big Import button in the top left, select the zip, and you're done. One extra step. Totally worth it. The game actually works now.

🔮 Still On The List

Shallow water still kills you. This remains physically accurate and spiritually offensive. It will be fixed. The Twilight Forest final boss situation is still being scouted. The empty castle continues to exist as a very dramatic, very empty castle. These are tomorrow's problems. Today's problem was "the game doesn't work." Today's problem is solved.
