What's new

BETA TEST 2.1.0 CHANGES & FIXES

This update reworks enchanting, separates Stat XP from vanilla XP, and overhauls quest rewards and progression.

Runic Attunement — New Enchanting System

  • Added Runic Attunement, a custom enchantment system built around Runic Tablets, Runic Dust, and the Runic Table.
  • Enchantments are unlocked through reusable Latent, Resonant, and Pristine Tablets, placed in correctly oriented Chiseled Bookshelves around the table. Tablets are not consumed when used; duplicate Tablets do not stack unlocks.
    • Attune compatible equipment with thematic materials, vanilla XP, and Lapis.
  • Added Grindstone Tablet-to-Dust recycling, Anvil Tablet rerolling/upgrading, and Transmutation to transfer compatible enchantments between items.
  • Added Runic Dust and generated Tablet rewards to relevant loot pools, plus dedicated quests, advancements, and an Induran Codex tutorial.
  • Removed Grind Enchantments; Runic Attunement now handles enchantment transfer.
  • Re-enabled and rebalanced the Enchanting Table recipe.
    • Smithing 10 required to craft an Enchanting Table; Arcana 10 to use it.

LevelZ & Experience Progression

  • LevelZ now has its own XP pool, independent of vanilla XP. Spend Stat XP without sacrificing XP needed for enchanting, Runic Attunement, or gear rerolls.
  • Combat acquired LevelZ XP now scales with the target's maximum health and is awarded to all contributing players.
  • Actually Right Click Harvest now grants appropriate LevelZ farming XP.
  • Quests now grant vanilla XP and LevelZ XP separately. Players who already finished quests can retroactively claim their newly added LevelZ XP rewards.
  • Updated A Point Well Spent to trigger more reliably when spending a Stat Point.

Quest & Reward System Rework

  • Reviewed non-repeatable quests and rebalanced reward tiers around difficulty, danger, rarity, and time invested. Routine tasks no longer match major bosses for reward value.
  • Rebuilt reward crates into a dynamic, progression-aware system. Available rewards expand as players discover, craft, learn, defeat, and complete relevant quests. Dimension unlocks are permanently tracked per player.
    • Overworld: Zenith gear, materials, and gems capped at Rare.
    • Nether reached: unlocks rewards up to Epic.
    • End reached: unlocks rewards up to Mythic.
    • Crate tier cannot bypass your current progression cap. Nether/End materials are also dimension-gated.
  • Milestone unlocks cover crops, meals, brewing, healing supplies, Runic materials, fishing gear, building palettes, minerals, reforging supplies, affixed gear, gems, and discovered mob/crafting drops.
    • Prepared meals only enter reward pools after their cooking progression; Netherite Ingots are never awarded directly.
  • Removed outdated Explorer and Utility reward categories.
  • Repeatable boss quests now award the same core crate tier as their first-kill counterpart. First kills retain their unique story and progression rewards; endgame bosses keep top-tier rewards.
  • Updated The Final Descent to require finding the Stronghold and entering the End, replacing the old portal-observation task. Entering the End permanently unlocks End-stage rewards.
  • Fixed duplicate/missing rewards and capstone difficulty classifications across farming, combat, exploration, crafting, fishing, brewing, and more.

Mob Balance, Combat & Bosses

  • Removed rune weapons from enemy variants due to excessive innate magic damage and unpredictable range.
  • Skeletons and Strays can no longer spawn as magic-wielding variants; they now use melee or ranged loadouts that their AI supports.
  • Reduced Zombie Leader bonus health to prevent 300+ HP variants, and added coloured names to identify them.
  • Tridents can now cast melee and magic spells.
  • Ender Dragon: removed the damage dealt to the dragon when a linked End Crystal is destroyed; removed Harming Potion drops from crystal destruction and reduced lightning density during the fight.
  • Increased drops for Zenith gems, affixed equipment, Gem Dust, and upgrade materials.
  • Removed Stone Zone Waystone variants.

Furniture Replacement — IMPORTANT WARNING!

  • Replaced Macaw's Furniture with Another Furniture, retaining extra wood variants through Every Compat.
  • Updated associated quests, item tags, icons, descriptions, and compatibility rules.
  • WARNING FOR EXISTING WORLDS: Macaw's Furniture blocks (chairs, tables, drawers, wardrobes, kitchen units, cabinets, bookshelves, etc.) will disappear after updating. Empty all furniture storage first. Items left inside will be permanently lost. Check your builds before updating.

Every Compat & Loading Optimisation

  • Reduced generated block variants from approximately 8,103 to 6,102 (around 25% fewer).
  • Kept important wood and Chipped stone families while pruning redundant torches, selected leaves/hedges, and unnecessary Chipped glass variants.
  • Client resource generation improved from approximately 2.4s to 1.2s, with noticeably faster game loading observed in testing.

Resource Packs, Models & Logs

  • Corrected leaf texture overrides and resource-pack priority, including Chipped / Better Leaves frost leaves.
  • Fixed broken Chipped models/textures and No Tree Punching / Ashen model references; removed obsolete Macaw's compatibility assets.
  • Refined Induran Codex wording and UI-safe titles.
  • Expanded Log Begone filtering to remove low-value spam while preserving actionable compatibility errors, crashes, worldgen, missing-asset, recipe, lag, and PotA/KubeJS warnings.

Mod Updates

Updated 14 mods: Small Ships, Trash Cans, Subtle Effects, Savage Ender Dragon, Puffish Skills, Particle Rain, MVS, MSS, MMR, MES, Moog's Structure Lib, Entity Culling, Streams Reflowing, and Supplementaries.

  • Integrated new Moog's structures into PotA loot tables and quest progression.
