What's new

Important Changes

  • Terralith has been removed - primarily due to the issue of Terralith being a data pack rather than a mod. In other words, Terralith draws exclusively from vanilla assets, and so when a separate mod changes some of the base vanilla assets you get some strange results e.g. Charm adding an Azalea wood type for Azalea trees, however, Terralith continues to use vanilla pre-sets for Azalea trees that instead uses oak wood for one of its trees in a biome. Additionally, because all biomes utilise vanilla assets, trees in different Terralith biomes utilise the default leaf blocks. What this means is that those leaves will only drop vanilla saplings and can thus only be used to grow vanilla tree types rather than the cool looking ones you see in Terralith. This in turn makes regenerating biomes extremely annoying, especially after chopping down a forest worth of trees, as you would have to manually re-build the trees rather than simply placing down saplings.
  • Oh the Biomes You'll Go has been added - I'm hoping this would solve the issues above, however, I've had to make use of 'Terrablender' which is notorious for playing around with how big or small biomes are in a bid to force compatibility. You may notice a few odd things, that is to be expected.

Other

  • If anyone has stuck around long enough, you'll probably notice this modpack gets updated, very frequently, often with changes that make each previous version incompatible. As such, I've decided to change the modpack to 'beta' as I feel this better reflects it. Additionally, I'd also like to apologise for any inconvenience these frequent updates have caused, and would recommend that you stay on the current version your world was created on.
