A cold-cold tundra under a clear sky and the aurora with a looming Illager fort...
alright-alright, one more tip...
A chaotic Cave I found under the tundra. Orcinus caves really coming through. You can see a few artifact camps down there that might have a mimic or some other loots.
Small Ships mod is included, and getting leads and wool is quite easy using the knives from farmers delight. If you don't have a relic that boosts swim speed like no-ones business they zoom pretty good.
another tip?
Using simple planes mod you can travel the skies... or if you're so inclined, you could use it to rain hell using TNT or fireworks.
A beach side shot of the ocean and some ships with a mermaid trying to bring them to ruin.... A Giuana biome makes for some massive cliffs, all easily climbable using Wall jump, move plus and elenai dodge!
A long range cinematic screenshot of a broken portal from a datapack, Apotheosis wizard tower and a bandit towers + Bandit Village dungeons from when dungeons arise, used on the main menu.
The Cave features from mods like Better Caves, Quark, 1.17 rework, better portals, and orcinus caves among other dungeons all splice together to make some really epic, expansive (almost never ending) and resource rich caves.
A wonderful screenshot of a waystone tower watching over a Castle from castle dungeons. Theres even a blimp from When dungeons arise, and a merchant building from Mo Structures.
A number of big bold and long tips can give you some quick insights into stuff you might not know that I do. ;)
All vanilla villagers have custom trades created using the custom trades mod and using coins dropped by mobs or traded from resources.
Have you used Doggy Talents? With the power of V-tweaks you can actually outfit your dog even further with armor and a weapon! They become quite formidable. Also yes that is Atomicstryker's dynamic lighting in my hand from the torch.
A Idyllic Prairie cottage from when dungeons arise... Also yes, yes that is a bee with a cake on it's head. It's hats mod. They're relics... of accessorization! :D
Description
Quick Note: I recommend using Quark Realistic World Generation when making a new world!
Order of all creation: Relic Hunters is a quick to pick up and play modpack based around exploration, origins and searching for and collecting and using powerful objects and artifacts.
In this modpack you can choose to begin as one of 22 different origins (9 of which are the modified originals, 13 new custom ones) and start off with access to simple ProjectE mechanics and some starting equipment which speeds up the early game and greatly hastens your ability to build, survive and tech up as you tackle the new world before you.
ProjectE from the start:
Mostly only the transmutation tablet and some of the simpler gear from it is usable, with many of the overpowered parts, like the power rings, super tools, weapons and machines that generate EMC from thin light that people abuse disabled from being crafted. You need to collect, mine, learn, transmute and store items from the world to generate EMC. A truer "equivalent exchange". So go explore and let the items and resources you mine be the fuel of your adventure!
Although ProjectE promises to provide all that you need to fuel your activities, you're not the only one in need of it!
The Order, your benefactors are currently orbiting the world outside the fabric of space time on their "Void Platform". Journeying from a distant dimensional cluster from a world not too similar but not to different, The Order seeks to deepen their understanding of the physical and metaphysical universe around them as they journey where once was thought impossible.
You (and any number of "friends"), as a masterful contractor working for the Order has been tasked to explore this new world and collect and study objects and other phenomenon from it.
The Racially Diverse and inclusive Order:
(In the lore) The Order through their pursuit of knowledge and understanding is willing to employ and help any sentient races which are willing enough to approach them without hostilities. It also allows and tolerates a number of magical and research pursuits that were once thought of as taboo in their world without judgment.
To this end, the pack includes a variety of custom Origins that I (and a few friends) have created. Most of them will spawn in different locations throughout the world and have interesting skills along with strengths and potential weaknesses to play with.
Relic Hunters is made with the hopes of either friendly competitive or casual cooperative play and teamwork (or casual solo, it doesn't matter!) to collect relics and artifacts from throughout the world to eventually tally them against quests and other mechanics. The days are announced on screen briefly as they pass letting you keep track of a potential day limit if you want to challenge yourself to repeated runs to see how much you can get done in a set period of time.
Mobility, Combat and Exploration aplenty:
While going about your business you'll fight using the skills and mechanics introduced by Project War Dance; a highly configurable combat improvement/overhaul mod and move throughout the world with style and fluidity using movement skills from mods such as Move plus, Elenai Dodge 2 and Wall Jump or even the powers gifted to you by your origin!
Travel far and wide across biomes from Oh the Biomes you'll Go, Traverse reforged, Environmental, atmospheric, endergetic expansion, Atum 2 and Better End Forge or delve into massive caves systems created by a combination of Quark, Yungs Better Caves, Orcinus's Caves, Darker Depths and the 1.17 backport mod.
Search for, take on and conqueror dungeons from the likes of When Dungeons Arise, Better dungeons, Better Strongholds, Castle Dungeons and Dungeon Crawl. All with datapack customized loot that should prove more rewarding than a handful of bread some paper and the usual fair of simple resource drops.
Equip yourself with weapons, armor, magic, tools and other gear from Dungeons Gear, Spartan's weapons+shields, Guns without Roses, Switchbow, Archer's Paradox, Reliquary, Ars Nouveau, Psi, blood magic and more, then enchant them to perfection with Apotheosis or a fully configured Quark Matrix Enchanting table with candles or your Anvil with the enchants and gear dropped from your foes.
Checklists, Documentations, banter, lore and capability reviews:
Order of All Creation: Relic Hunters will have quests which will include collection and boss quests among other things. However these first versions are released for testing of origins and the world and to potentially create some interest for the modpack as I figure out things with them and poke at different parts of the pack's development.
Quests range from advancement quests with comments and lore. To Boss hunts and relic compilations to complete. Aswell as informational sections detailing useful equipment and mechanics.
