For Windows Servers or when installing on Windows (since curse won't allow me to do that for you automatically, sorry about that):

Please follow these steps before launch:


Download these files and place them into the server folder:
I. https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/versions/1.12.2/minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar
II. https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/minecraft/launchwrapper/1.12/launchwrapper-1.12.jar
Place file II. into the following folder: libraries\net\minecraft\launchwrapper\1.12\

 

All users:
1. Run the respective ServerStart file (Shell Script (.sh) for linux, Windows Batch File (.bat) for windows)
2. This will run the installer and configure everything for you.
It will also create a file called eula.txt, then exit.
3. Edit the file and replace "eula=false" with "eula=true", thereby accepting the minecraft EULA.
4. Run the ServerStart file again, finally starting the server.
5. Wait for it to load.
6. ???
7. Profit.
