Description

Old_Horror.jar is modpack that features and fully retuxtered minecraft world themed around the minecraft alpha/beta with old legands such as herobrine haunting your world. As you delve in deeper into this eerie modpack the feeling of oldness starts to trick into more horrors untill you don't know whats reality. If you want to survive, I recommend not getting to cousmed in this world and foucsing on the task infront of you.

Recommend settings

The modpack already comes with all settings and texture packs set up but if an error happens or something else I have put them down below. I would not recommend changing the settings or texture packs as this will ruin the experience. I have capped the fps to 40 default as I think it gives the old minecraft feel but if it is bothering you I I would recommend 60 fps max. You can change your fov and to your prefence if you want to. Below is the recommend settings.

Render distance: 5-12 chunks (Modpack default: 8) Gives the close foggy minecraft alpha feel

Brightness: 35-50 (Modpack default: 35) Adds small effect but dosent matter too much

Max Framerate: 30-60 (Modpack default: 40) Gives that old choppy pc feeling

Quality

Graphics: Fast or Fancy (Modpack default: fast) Fast gives that old minecraft choppy pc feeling

Clouds: Fast or Fancy (Modpack default: fast) Fast gives that old minecraft choppy pc feeling

True Darkness

Darkness mode: Dark or Really Dark (Modpack default: Dark) Adds to overall experince of horror and oldness

Texture packs

The exact texture pack order is essetial for the game to run properly. Selected Texture pack order should be:

Old lighting old water - Top of list. Old lighting and water.

Golden days base - Classic minecraft textures. Essential for old minecraft experience

Programmer Art - Classic minecraft textures. Essential for old minecraft experience

Vanilla - Default minecraft textures. Requried for the game to run

Fabric - Requried for the game to run

Mod Resources - Bottem of list. Requried for the game to run

Optional

Texturepacks: You can add the golden days alpha texture pack for a more alpha experience

Shaders: The CTR-VCR texture pack can give a vhs feel if thats your thing.
