OGMAServer ModPack

While our community isn't Minecraft focused (it's based around a web comic), many members of our community enjoy playing minecraft so we've set up a modded server for all to enjoy.

We focus primarily on mods that give our players options to focus their time in a variety of different ways, and the freedom to jump in between, rather than being funneled into a single overarching experience. With BetterAnimals, Biomes O' Plenty, YUNG's Better Caves, and Recurrent Complex to help flesh out the world with a variety of new things to explore, and Just Enough Dimensions to allow for simultaneous creative and survival dimensions (with a command-block teleporter to block smuggling of items in between), we want our players to focus primarily on enjoying themselves, and we understand that this means different things for different people, and at different times.

Sometimes you just want to kick back and build something fun. Sometimes you want to earn every block, build up your fortress, and then defend it against waves of enemies (Hostile Worlds Invasions has you covered!). So if you've got a community that's a bit varied, and interested in doing different things, this modpack's looking to do the job. We're definitely not hardcore, or looking to be - we've got the GraveStone Mod thrown in there, a personal favourite of mine, so if you do bite off more than you can chew, you can rest easy your items won't drop and despawn.

Of course, Minecraft's nothing without crafting - so we've bundled Tinker's Construct in there, along with Spartan Weaponry and Shields. We all know there's nothing more satisfying than building the biggest smeltery you can.

We may add other mods in the future, although we do want to try and keep things to a more fantasy oriented experience. Our web comic, Orc and Gnome's Mild Adventures, is fantasy after all. So you won't be seeing much tech here. Given that we're catering to the tastes of a community, we have focused a lot on picking up mods that are heavily customizable, in order to tone down difficulty where it can be come grating (like Hostile Worlds Invasions coming at you every few days). Just Enough Dimensions is also, by its very nature, all about customizing things to your particular use case, since it gives you the freedom to build different dimensions for different purposes and connect them all together.

If you're interested in playing along with us, you are welcome to - though keep in mind that this is a whitelisted server. We're open to newcomers, and you can get access by requesting it on our Discord (linked below). Just remember that we do not suffer griefers - anyone looking to mess with another's good time won't last long.
