Version 1.2

ClayGrounds 1.2 delivers a major visual, entity, world-generation, and engine upgrade, bringing the experience onto the newest DAI 3.x runtime while completing the ClayGrounds 0.7 overhaul.

Updated

  • Updated DAI Engine from 1.9.9 → 3.3.
  • Updated ClayGrounds Data from v0.4.6 → v0.7.0.
  • Updated ClayGrounds Resource from v0.4.6 → v0.7.0.
  • Updated the pack for NeoForge 26.2.0.59.

Native ClayGrounds Entities

  • Converted all 9 ClayGrounds enemies into registry-backed native DAI entity types.
  • Replaced vanilla carrier IDs with dedicated claygrounds:* entities.
  • Added ClayGrounds-owned loot tables.
  • Removed unintended vanilla mob drops.
  • Preserved existing combat rewards, progression, AI behavior, spawn anchors, and boss encounters.
  • Reworked enemy visual bodies into independently synchronized display rigs.
  • Added automatic visual repair, orphan cleanup, position synchronization, and rotation synchronization.
  • Added dedicated native visual handling for the Shorewarden.
  • Restored usable debug hitboxes while keeping underlying carrier visuals hidden.

Custom Enemy Animation

  • Converted all nine enemies to fully articulated multi-part rigs.

  • Added independently animated:

    • Heads
    • Arms
    • Legs
    • Torsos
    • Claws
    • Tails
    • Equipment
  • Added dedicated idle and movement animation profiles.

  • Added alternating multi-leg movement cycles for Vinecrawler and Canopy Fang.

  • Preserved animated equipment including the Claycrest Archer bow and Ruins Sentinel shield.

  • Added self-repair for missing individual rig pieces.

  • Improved complete rig cleanup when enemies die.

World Generation

  • Reworked the ClayGrounds terrain-generation pipeline.
  • Consolidated 344 terrain steps into 43 bounded batches.
  • Consolidated 55 foundation steps into 11 bounded batches.
  • Preserved the existing handcrafted ClayGrounds terrain.
  • Added deterministic resume support for interrupted world generation.
  • Reduced initial generation settling delays.
  • Removed unnecessary generation particles and sounds.
  • Added paced first-world generation to reduce chunk rebuild and save spikes.
  • Reduced world-generation scheduling and command overhead.

Solmere & World Improvements

  • Corrected the elevation of the four colored Solmere houses.

  • Completely rebuilt the Solmere fountain.

  • Added a raised basin, pedestal, spout, contained water, and lighting.

  • Expanded Solmere with:

    • Benches

  • Added additional environmental detail along routes toward:

Complete Visual Overhaul

  • Repainted all 27 custom enemy material layers across the nine ClayGrounds enemy types.
  • Replaced early placeholder materials with fully authored creature textures.
  • Rebuilt all nine enemy models with more distinctive silhouettes.
  • Added explicit UV mapping throughout custom enemy geometry.
  • Fixed invalid rotations and out-of-range texture sampling.
  • Fixed ghosted and repeated internal model faces.
  • Corrected Canopy Fang material assignments and glowing eyes.
  • Corrected Clayling head geometry for Minecraft 26.2.
  • Improved model ground alignment across the enemy roster.

ClayGrounds HD Pass

  • Completed the full v0.7 high-detail visual pass.

  • Redrew gameplay item and ability icons while preserving their original dimensions.

  • Added refreshed world materials for:

  • Added ClayGrounds-specific startup and loading presentation.
  • Added themed loading colors, logos, and presentation assets.
  • Integrated ClayGrounds with DAI's native MAIN Experience branding system.

Performance

  • Split articulated enemy processing into separate update frequencies.
  • Reduced the frequency of expensive visual repair checks.
  • Separated smooth entity-following updates from heavier maintenance logic.
  • Reduced broad enemy safety-scan frequency.
  • Removed orphan and death cleanup from unnecessary every-player 20 TPS processing.
  • Combat, cooldowns, input, and progression remain responsive at full tick rate.

DAI 3.x Integration

  • Upgraded ClayGrounds from DAI 1.9.9 to DAI 3.3.
  • Integrated the newer native entity and content registry systems.
  • Added improved Experience startup, loading, world-generation, and level-transition handling.
  • Added expanded native entity lifecycle and gameplay-event support.
  • Added improved native projectile physics, movement, orientation, collision, ricochets, and knockback.
  • Added expanded native block, item, particle, effect, potion, fluid, portal, and interactive systems for future ClayGrounds content.
  • Added improved Experience world creation and world-generation configuration support.
  • Improved client/server Experience initialization and runtime synchronization.
  • Preserved datapack hot-reload support for runtime gameplay definitions.
