you can see that there is almost all types of basic machines (charger, inscriber, furnace, crusher, infuser, etc.) that can craft a lot of things
Inside my base, I like to use these to carry power across the room, this uses fewer cables.

Here is my fission reactor from mekanism that produces 6 M FE/t and consumes less than half of what it could consume at max speed (62mB/t while the max speed is 150mB/t)
