It's a complex mod pack that adds difficulty, exploration, and technology to the game Minecraft. It adds a fun challenge to the usually mundane game and allows you to do whatever you want and dream of.
The features include a wasteland, better combat, thirst, temperature, etc. While selecting the world, you can choose between the wasteland and Biome O'Plenty, depending on your preferred difficulty level. There are also better villagers(human-like villagers)that you can use as employees or to start a family. There are many engineering mods; including nuclear physics, nuclear bombs, nuclear reactors, regular generators, Vanilla automation,mod-based automation, etc.
When you first join the wasteland world, you will be inside a bunker. The bunker will have a chest in it and will have some starter loot. To survive, you need to get saplings, food, and water. When you leave the bunker, there will be many hostile mobs during the day, making moving around and exploring difficult. Once you get to a tree, you'll notice it has no leaves, so you can't get apples or saplings. The only way to get saplings is to make them through chemistry, which I won't spoil for you. Then you'll need to find a way to get water, which could be through finding a meteorite, chemistry, or maybe underground if you're lucky. As for food, there is no grass or mobs, so the only way to get food is to explore and find a mob or a chest with food that you can plant. Once you've completed this, I'd recommend you get into technology and find a way to go to space and colonize new planets for humanity that aren't as destroyed as Earth.
You should allocate a minimum of 5.5GB of RAM for this mod pack as this is a very heavy mod pack, consisting of many mods.
