Do you remember playing classic modpacks like Tekkit and Voltz back in the day? Have you ever wanted to experience something similar, without having to deal with the excessive mod bloat and performance impacts of other packs? Nostalgia Plus is the pack for you! This is the ultimate blend of tech, magic, and adventure!
Nostalgia Plus is all about offering a non-intimidating experience for players to enjoy technology, magic, and adventure. Feeling brave? Explore massive dungeons and fortresses in both the Nether and Overworld, or conquer the mysteries of the Twilight Forest. Start up a quarry and have technology do all the work for you, with fan-favourite mods like Mekanism and Industrial Craft 2. You'll likely need to protect yourself against the powerful new and updated mobs in this pack. Thankfully there are several tools at your disposal, such as force fields and turrets that ward away your enemies. Perhaps you want to use another method though, maybe something more magical? Thaumcraft is the mod for you, and Blood Magic if you're feeling a bit more, well, sadistic. When all of that is said and done, perhaps you need to get off this planet, literally, by exploring new planets and creating your own space-station with Galacticraft.
I've streamlined goals and rewards for most of the core progression mods so that players can always be working towards something (thanks to the FTBQuests mod). Nostalgia Plus is all about offering the core experience of my favourite mods, without dilluting the pack with mods that never felt like they added to the experience. This is designed (hopefully) so that a player who is new to modded minecraft won't feel overwhelmed by all of the content being thrown at them.
This started as a personal project, something that I wanted to make for myself and for my friends. It always bothered me how difficult it was to find a modpack that included all of my favourite mods, without having hundreds of other mods that cluttered up the pack. I had a few goals I wanted to accomplish when creating this pack:
I've focused on removing a lot of "bloat" from mods. These are items or tools that overlap with other mods, or serve no purpose. Recipes have been unified to accept multiple versions of the same mineral or item, and ores have been normalized - so you will only see one type of copper for example. I've made several balancing changes and tweaks, controlling the power or progression of mods like Project E. I hope you enjoy, and feedback is always appreciated!
This pack is brand new, and you may discover bugs or issues!
SERVER FILES ARE OUT!
This modpack, like most, is a lot more fun with friends! Server files are now included if you want to host the modpack.
