Nomad No More
You own nothing. You know no one. Several sheep are already judging you.
You start this world exactly the way every great civilization starts: catastrophically underprepared. No house, no crown, no idea which of these plants will kill you — just a stick, an unearned sense of destiny, and Terralith's ~95 biomes stretching out in every direction, daring you to pick one and pretend you meant to end up there.
Nomad No More is a tech-focused, multiplayer-ready modpack about the long, deeply undignified climb from "person who punches trees for a living" to "person who accidentally runs a kingdom and has to pretend that was always the plan." Every quest in the book is written to actually help you — funny where it can be, occasionally too honest, but never so busy being funny that it forgets to tell you what button to press.
What you'll actually be doing (besides regretting your early decisions)
- Building an industrial empire on Create, Mekanism, and Applied Energistics 2 — three tech systems that cooperate instead of fighting each other for your attention span, which is more than most kingdoms can say about their advisors
- Founding and growing an actual colony with MineColonies — because "kingdom" isn't just something we put in the title to sound impressive, it's a real mechanic with citizens who have opinions, jobs they resent, and a Town Hall that silently judges every building decision you make
- Exploring a world that got aggressively reshaped — Terralith's biome buffet stacked with Tectonic's "why is that mountain personally offended at me" terrain shaping, so mountains look like mountains and valleys look like places you'll regret walking into
- Getting mildly murdered by things that shouldn't exist — Alex's Mobs, Ice and Fire's dragons, and L_Ender's Cataclysm bosses are all out there plotting against you, but none of it is mandatory. Combat here is a side quest, not a wall you're forced to headbutt
- Chasing a genuinely absurd late-game power ceiling with Draconic Evolution, for when "automated factory" stops being impressive enough and you need a reactor that might explode out of spite
- Plus Immersive Engineering (kept purely because wires and steampunk aesthetics are objectively cool, we're not pretending otherwise), Alchemistry (turn dirt into diamonds, ethics not included), and a resource farm involving chickens and frogs that produce materials in a way science absolutely did not sign off on
Built for playing together (so someone else can share the blame)
Full FTB Teams and FTB Chunks support from day one — this was designed for friends to ruin a world together, not for one person to suffer alone in silence.
Current status
This is an early Alpha — core systems and the first two chapters of the quest line are live, more chapters actively being written. Consider yourself an early settler. Or a beta tester. Kingdoms don't really distinguish between the two.
