No gears. No water wheels. No magical spinning sticks that solve every problem while you go mining for five minutes.
You still get to build factories and automate stuff… You have to do it the old painful, sweaty, slightly cursed way with Immersive Engineering, Thermal, Mekanism, AE2, and others.
More planning. More resources. More “why did I think this was a good idea?” Way more satisfaction when it finally works.
