Nightmarish Nights

Minecraft horror modpack focused on atmosphere and isolation that transforms Minecraft into a terrifying experience where nowhere feels completely safe.

Nightmarish Nights turns Minecraft survival into a slow-burning horror experience where the darkness no longer feels safe. This isn't just Minecraft with monsters added. The entire world has been rebuilt around the feeling of not being alone in the dark. The monsters that are in this modpack include:

Cave Dweller Reimagined

Country Road Creature

Rake: The Arrival

Siren Head: The Arrival

The Growling Man

The Man From The Fog

The Mimicer

The One Who Watches

Who's There?: Ghost Players

These monsters combined give the player a constant feeling of unease. So, if you've ever thought other horror modpacks weren't scary enough, were too reliant on jumpscares, or ran at 5 FPS, this might be the modpack for you.

The world of Nightmarish Nights may seem familiar but is never really reassuring. Under the dark skies vast forests, empty meadows, lonely plains and windswept hills extend, giving the world an atmosphere of quiet isolation even though nothing is actually taking place. The horror here is slow and atmospheric rather than relying on constant jump scares -- you could spend the whole night listening to distant noises, noticing movement among the trees, or just wondering if something is watching you. Generally speaking, Minecraft remains Minecraft: you can still build, explore, mine and survive without having to fight for your life every five minutes. Yet there is always just enough about the world that makes the darkness seem like a place where you probably shouldn't be.

I was getting around 110 FPS standing still and 70 FPS exploring with a pretty average laptop on decently high settings. Recommended RAM is 6 GB, but this can easily be run on 4 GB. Anything below this is shaky, I have not tested anything below this so if you set it below this it will likely work, but don't blame the modpack if it crashes, runs horribly, or any other problems.

All mods belong to the people who made them (not me) and credit where credit is due, I did not make any of these mods and Nightmarish Nights would not have been possible without these amazing mods so please support the creators of these great mods. If you have any comments, things wanted changed, or just something you want me to know about or something then please comment. If one of your mods is in my modpack and you want it removed, please put it in the comments and I will remove it immediately.
