ngm's TAF: Technology, Alchemy & Farming

ngm's TAF is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge modpack built around farming, technology, automation, alchemy, and cooperative progression.

The journey begins with simple farming and food preparation, then gradually expands into Farmer's Delight, Farm and Charm, HerbalBrews, Thermal automation, Vinery, and a carefully reworked ProjectE endgame.

Rather than presenting each mod as a separate system, TAF connects them through custom recipes, progression materials, bilingual FTB Quests, and controlled unlocks.

Reworked ProjectE Progression

ProjectE has been adjusted so that its strongest EMC machines cannot be obtained immediately.

Energy Collectors, Anti-Matter Relays, and Energy Condensers are unlocked through:

• Farming and food production
• HerbalBrews crops and brewing
• Custom alchemical materials
• Vinery progression
• Thermal machines and alloys
• Multi-stage ProjectE upgrades

Finished ProjectE machines and major progression items do not have EMC values, preventing players from skipping the intended progression through simple transmutation.

Custom Alchemical Materials

TAF includes six custom progression items:

• Herbal Essence
• Basic Alchemical Catalyst
• Vinous Essence
• Refined Alchemical Catalyst
• Advanced Alchemical Catalyst
• Sunlit Alchemical Core

These materials connect farming, herbal brewing, wine production, Thermal processing, and ProjectE into a single progression path.

Farming and Automation

Custom Phytogenic Insolator recipes are included for supported crops and herbs from:

• Farmer's Delight
• Farm and Charm
• HerbalBrews

Depending on the crop, the machine may use harvested produce, seeds, leaves, or flowers. JEI can be used to check the exact input, output, and secondary output chance.

Storage and Logistics

An optional quest chapter introduces:

• Sophisticated Storage
• Sophisticated Backpacks
• Pretty Pipes

These systems are not required for the main progression, but they are useful for building shared storage rooms and larger automation networks.

Multiplayer Balance

TAF is primarily balanced around two-player cooperation.

• Late-game recipes assume shared material gathering
• Milestone rewards are granted per player
• Farming, brewing, automation, logistics, and construction can be divided between players
• Solo play is supported, but late-game progression may take longer

Quest Book

The FTB Quests book supports:

• English
• Korean

It includes:

• Eight main progression chapters
• An optional storage and logistics chapter
• A guide and reference chapter
• Cross-chapter progression locks
• Conservative milestone rewards

Included Visual Experience

TAF includes the following visual additions:

• Stay True resource pack
• Complementary Reimagined shader pack
• Oculus shader support

They are included to complement the pack's farming, winery, natural, and alchemical atmosphere.

The shader pack is optional and can be disabled for better performance. Players may also use the included resource pack independently without enabling shaders.

Additional Sandbox Content

The pack also contains optional content outside the main quest progression, including:

• TaCZ
• Custom player models
• Media frames
• Decorative and quality-of-life features

These additions are not required to complete the main progression.

기초 농업과 음식 제작에서 시작해 Farmer's Delight, Farm and Charm, HerbalBrews, Thermal 자동화, Vinery 와인 제조, 그리고 단계적으로 재설계된 ProjectE 후반부로 이어집니다.

TAF에는 다음 6종의 커스텀 진행 재료가 포함되어 있습니다.

다음 모드의 작물과 허브를 위한 식물 생장기 커스텀 레시피가 포함되어 있습니다.

• 후반부 제작법은 재료 분담을 고려
• 마일스톤 보상은 플레이어별로 지급
• 농업, 양조, 자동화, 물류, 건축을 역할별로 나누어 진행 가능
• 1인 플레이도 가능하지만 후반부 진행 시간이 더 길어질 수 있음
