Neuromon

A Cobblemon adventure for 1.21.1: gyms, quests, fakemons, legendaries and a world full of new biomes to explore.

⚡ Neuromon

A Cobblemon adventure built around progression, exploration and gym battles.

🏅 Become a trainer

This isn't a pack where you catch a few pokémon and wander off. Your strength as a trainer is capped, and the cap only rises when you earn it: battle wild pokémon, take on trainers, and challenge the gyms scattered across the world.

If your pokémon stops gaining levels, that's not a bug. It means it's time to go fight something.

📖 A guided journey

Everything you need lives in the in-game guide book, in the top right corner of your inventory. It's the manual, the quest line and the reward system all at once. Chapters unlock as you progress, and achievements and gym badges hand out real rewards. Check back every so often, new pages appear as you go.

🔮 Fakemons and legendaries

The roster goes well beyond the base game, with custom creatures added throughout the world and a full legendary system with its own progression.

Both are hidden behind a spoiler wall by default, because discovering them is half the point. If you'd rather see everything up front, zoom into the chapter, scroll up, and confirm where indicated.

🗺️ A world worth walking through

Dozens of new biomes, structures and points of interest replace the usual overworld sprawl. Travelling somewhere new actually feels like it.

  • 📍 Minimap and waypoints so you can find your way back
  • ⚰️ Graves mod so dying far from home isn't a run-ender
  • 🧭 Biome compass for hunting down a specific biome

🎙️ Play together

Proximity voice chat is built in, no external programs needed. Add emotes, player animations, gesturing skins and chat heads, and group play feels a lot less like standing next to each other in silence.

🎨 Look and feel

  • ✨ Shaders included and preconfigured
  • 🖥️ Several resourcepack presets if you want a different GUI
  • 🎵 Dynamic music with swappable music packs
  • ⚔️ Improved combat with additional animations
  • 🚀 A full stack of performance mods so the whole thing actually runs

⚙️ Before your first world

RAM: 8-16 GB recommended. 16 GB runs it comfortably. With less, drop the graphics settings and disable shaders first.

Some passive mobs are disabled on purpose. Cows, sheep and a few others don't spawn naturally, but every item they'd normally drop is still obtainable: leather from defeating pokémon or trading, wool from shearing wooloos. Nothing is locked away.

The EMI item list starts hidden so you're not staring at ten thousand items on your first load. Enable it in the settings whenever you want.

👥 Multiplayer

Neuromon is built with servers in mind. One note if you're running one: avoid creating teams through FTB Teams, as it interferes with the quest system. You can still play together and share a base, just don't use that particular menu.
