This modpack, which is of a reasonable size - 80 mods, is my take on a smaller transitional modpack for vanilla players to use to get into modded minecraft. I didnt want to do a pack that was plain old vanilla with some utility mods so there is a smidge of magic and 2 true tech mods (an earlier game one and a later game one). i also didnt want the transitional experience to be too easy i.e plain old vanilla, so there is the odd mod thrown in to make life more interesting for the player. It has a couple of biome mods to give players examples of the possibilities within modded minecraft, also generally speaking theres a mod or two for all the categories of mods so players can get a taste of the possibilities.
