NamCraft – A Vietnam War-Themed NPC War Modpack

NamCraft is a Forge 1.20.1 modpack that recreates the Vietnam War through intense NPC-driven warfare, immersive combat, and a dynamic economy. Factions clash in large-scale battles, ambushes unfold in the dense jungle, and a ruthless black market thrives in the shadows. This isn't just a shooter—this is a war simulation where NPCs fight, trade, and survive just like players.

🔫 NPC-Driven Warfare:

Massive NPC battles unfold across the battlefield, powered by CustomNPCs and [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero.
Factions wage war automatically, engaging in tactical skirmishes, patrols, and surprise ambushes.
Viet Cong machete fighters roam the jungle, attacking anyone in their path.
Since 1.6 the soldiers, factions, dialogs and quests install themselves into every world the first time it loads – new worlds and old ones, singleplayer and servers. Nothing to copy by hand.

🌍 Immersive War-Torn World:

Dense jungles, rivers, and villages create a Vietnam-inspired battlefield.
NPC soldiers patrol, attack, and defend strategic locations in a persistent conflict.
Real-time combat AI means no two battles play out the same way.

💰 Economic System & Black Market:

Mr. Duong "The Collector" exploits players through an unfair currency exchange system.
Mrs. Tran, the black market dealer, supplies weapons at exorbitant prices to anyone willing to pay.
Custom currency system: Exchange Emeralds, Redstone Dust, Copper Ingots, and Gold Ingots for survival and war.

🇺🇸 U.S. & South Vietnam – Well-equipped forces trying to control the chaos.
🌿 NVA & Viet Cong – Guerrilla fighters utilizing ambush tactics and deception.
⚖️ Neutral Civilians – Merchants, war profiteers, and survivors caught in the middle.

🛠 Optimized for Performance & Multiplayer:

Smooth gameplay with optimized FPS, animations, and UI.
NamCraft Core, the pack's own companion mod, removes the stray NPC bullets that used to pile up in old battle areas and cause lag spikes.
Designed for multiplayer, allowing players to join the war, control NPC factions, or forge their own path.
A ready-to-run server pack is attached to the 1.6 release: unzip, run start.bat, accept the EULA.

💾 Recommended RAM: 6–8 GB. In the CurseForge app open the profile's Profile Options and set Memory to at least 6144 MB. The default 4 GB is not enough for this pack.

NamCraft exists thanks to Albert827's Vietnam War content for Minecraft 1.7.10, which first inspired the creation of this modpack. His work set the stage for a Vietnam War experience in Minecraft, and NamCraft builds upon that legacy with modern mods and expanded mechanics.
