UI/Visual Tweaks
- The Main Menu has been significantly overhauled, and looks much better now IMO
- Loading Screens now cycle through a slideshow rather than one still image!
- The Mystic Realms logo has been replaced by the new one for Mystic Horizons
- Discord RPC now works properly!
- Tweaked Taskbar logo
- Disabled Advancement Announcement
- Disabled Physics mod's custom weather by default as it was too laggy
- Loot beams now activate from a shorter distance but have improved visuals
- Health bars now only show on damaged enemies
- Tweaked color of Goal Reached! on advancement plaques
- Increased Cloud Height to 320 to compensate for the world height
- Custom Clouds are now used by default instead of shader clouds
- Enabled Several Memory/FPS Optimizations through ModernFix
- Added back You Died pop up from older versions
- Also added a new sound effect that plays when you die! Might as well make it tolerable, it's gonna happen a lot...
- Disabled Chat Signing through ModernFix
- Removed darken hover effect
- Changed click sound effect
- Increased scale and break distance of Physics Mod particles. I highly recommend to disable the Physics mod in the settings menu if you have a low end PC
- Removed a ton of bugged and missing textures from REI
- Adjusted F3 Menu Appearance
- Reconfigured Default Keybinds
- Added YouTube, Discord, and Donation buttons to the main menu
- Adjusted Xaero World Map UI
- New third person animations courtesy of the Epic Fight Mod!
- Adjusted Entity Culling and Ticking Settings, bugs will likely occur such as mobs not appearing from a distance or being frozen from a distance
- Decreased Ambient Sound volume to 75%
Gameplay Tweaks
- No more immune mobs! (Finally)
- Most effects that mobs could apply to players (like blindness) have been removed
- New unique and more balanced skill system added by Simply Skills to replace Passive Skill Tree
- World generation overhaul! Mountains are more frequent, larger, and taller. Biomes are slightly larger than before, have more variety thanks to Terralith, and distribution has been improved
- Overhauled Melee Combat from Epic Fight! Combat is more difficult, but more satisfying and promotes unique playstyles.
- (Epic Fight) The majority of items switch to their respective modes (Combat and Mining Mode) by default. There are likely a few issues though, please report them to me as it's a quick fix
- A TON of new weapons from Weapons of Miracles, Simply Swords (Updated), Marium's Soulslike Weaponry, and all the other mods added
- All structures are 50% more rare, promoting exploration and slowing down progression
- Buffed the majority of Celestisynth Weapons
- Decreased Artifact Spawn Rate
- Decreased Tarot Card Spawn Rates significantly
- The Ender Dragon is now significantly more powerful...
- Disabled Infected players from spawning
- Increased spawn rates of rare and fantasy biomes slightly
- Drastically increased Wesley Dungeon Spawn Rates and difficulty too...
- Slightly increased Dragon Den spawnrates (undergrond), and reduced Dragon Roost (above ground) spawnrates
- Nerfed Cataclysm Weapons Damage
- Increased Dungeons Weapons Spawnrates
- Spawn adjustments! Spawning in ocean biomes and frozen biomes SHOULD be impossible now (unless I missed some custom biomes), meaning you'll always have a decent spawn point.
- Spawn radius has also been removed, you now always respawn in the same place. This was necessary for distance based difficulty.
- No more Armor Stamina system
- Slightly decreased food healing and regen buffs to promote combat (orbs drop from enemies to heal) and finding other methods to heal up
- Adjusted Lunar event odds, they now happen less frequently and are more of a rare occurence
- Weather no longer prevents Lunar events from happening
- Disabled Tiny and Big Moon events because of bugs
- Structure variety has been patched, you should find plenty of different structures along your journey instead of the same dozen
- Removed most spawn in advancements
- Removed Clay Golems
- New experimental difficulty scaling by distance traveled
- Buffed healing, speed, and jumping orbs dropped by enemies and spawners
Trust me, there are a ton more gameplay changes that I can't go over in a simple changelog or forgot tbh. I am dedicated to making this the BEST Minecraft RPG there is, I thank everyone for the support I've gotten over the last few months. With that out of the way, enjoy Mystic Horizons 1.20.1!
