Closer to Survival is a small, beginner-friendly collection for players who want Minecraft to feel mostly unchanged, but a little smoother and easier to navigate. This is an early release: the pack will be expanded gradually with new features and polish.

What you get right now
Performance
- Sodium — Improves frame rates and makes the game feel smoother, especially on lower-end PCs, without changing how Minecraft looks at a glance.
- Lithium — Optimizes how the game runs behind the scenes (world updates, mob AI, etc.) for better overall performance.
Quality of life
- Just Enough Items (JEI) — Press
Ron an item to see how it’s crafted, orUto see what it’s used in. Handy if you’re new to crafting or don’t want to keep checking the wiki. - Mod Menu — Adds an in-game list of installed additions and their settings (gear icon on the title screen).
Required library
- Fabric API — Technical dependency that lets the other features work together. You don’t need to configure it.
Who is this for?
- Players who like survival, building, and exploring without huge gameplay overhauls
- Anyone who wants better FPS and recipe lookup in one simple install
- People looking for a pack that will grow over time rather than stay frozen at v1
Roadmap
Future updates may add more exploration, storage, and convenience features — always with the same goal: stay close to base Minecraft, just more comfortable to play.
Notes
- Single-player and multiplayer friendly (server must allow the same components).
- Report issues on the project page — feedback helps shape the next releases.
