My Hodgepodge

Please see my new modpack NeoHodgePodge!!

This is just a modpack I tossed together for my wife and I. If there are any mods that the authors would prefer to not be used in this pack please let me know and I will adjust it ASAP. If anyone else chooses to download this modpack I can't say I'll be super helpful in fixing any issues as I just threw this together and used duct tape with some hopes and dreams. With the challenge of having it still feel like Minecraft at heart (not having mods change it to be more like Factorio or something else), while also keeping it pretty enough for the Wife to enjoy building with pretty blocks.

The goal of this modpack is to give the player a Medieval/Magic/Fantasy feel for the world and systems, almost RPG-esque, but not have to worry about skill levels or any other microsystems other than what Minecraft already has, as well as to have plenty of blocks to decorate your base and world with. In saying that though, I also don't want to give the player the feeling that they are "OP Main Character" powerful, sure with some of the magic mods you could make yourself that strong (I'm assuming, I haven't touched ALL of the ones I added) but the idea is you have to somewhat work to get there. As much as I love ATM# packs and the ATM team, after a while you can look at say the dragon or wither and it disappears, which is nice in its own right, but it speeds up my own personal loss of interest when I get to that point, which then has me searching for something else faster.

This is a pack I'm hoping to put a fairly solid ceiling on the power creep factor to the best of my ability, and hope this can have more of a MMORPG feel where having others help you defeat the bosses actually matters. Might be a long shot, but that's what I'm aiming for. Do I plan to keep updating this pack and making it better? Sure, if I'm able, but also, life is a thing and I have bills to pay and a family to look after =/. This is my first attempt at something like this so please bear with me and let's see how far we can take this. Who knows, maybe if it works out you could see your favorite YouTuber playing this one day (not holding my breath though).

Again, as things are now, this is super basic and bare-bones, with barely any config changes, no custom recipes, and no hard limits set other than the ones baked into the mods already. As things go on and the pack changes I will continue to update this description and keep changelogs as neat as I can.
