This mod pack allows you to play on any server that doesn't have mods. As such, these changes are purely cosmetic.
Things that have been added in affect your senses such as taste, sight and sound (ok, maybe not taste).
The mod pack aims to include as many non-game breaking add ons. The only one pushing this would be the compass mod. All other mods are to enrich the experience of minecraft and enjoy it even more with your friends. All without needing to install mods onto a server, and thus, no longer have issues with compatibility.
