Mr Hobbit's Dungeon: Play With Friends

One wooden sword. An endless dungeon. Bring your friends.

This modpack is the easiest way to jump into Mr Hobbit's Dungeon with up to three friends. Install it, make a world, invite your friends, and dive in together. No server to rent, no port forwarding, no fiddling with mod lists.

Why this modpack?

Mr Hobbit's Dungeon is a single mod that works on its own, and you can drop it into any Fabric modpack you like. If you already have a modpack or a server, you don't need this pack: just add the mod.

But the dungeon is at its best with friends, and getting friends into the same Minecraft world has always been a hassle. That's why this pack exists. It bundles the dungeon with Essential, which lets you:

• Host your single-player world for friends with a couple of clicks
• Invite friends straight from the game through Essential's built-in friends list
• Skip the hard parts: no server, no IP addresses, no router settings

Everything is set up and tested to work together, so all you have to do is press Play.

What is Mr Hobbit's Dungeon?

A roguelike for Minecraft. Every floor is freshly built, every chest is a gamble, and every decision counts. Push deeper for bigger scores, or cash out while you're still alive.

Your real inventory is safely stored before every run and handed back when you leave, so you can play without risking anything you've built.

• Endless, procedurally generated floors across three themes: Stone Keep, Deepslate Halls and Blackstone Vaults. Rooms rise and drop, joined by stair tunnels and wide corridors. The dungeon never ends.
• A true roguelike start. You begin with a wooden sword. Armor, bows, tridents, potions and enchanted gear all come from the chests you find.
• Monsters that grow with you, from zombies on the first floors to evokers, wither skeletons and ravagers deep down.
• Bosses and an evil genie. A named boss guards the way down after every rest floor. Beat it, and the genie offers your party three gifts, each with a catch. Double damage, but you lose an armor slot? Choose carefully.
• Event floors. Pitch-dark floors with only 8 torches. Ambush rooms that slam shut. A treasure goblin you have 30 seconds to catch. Cursed floors, flooded floors, floors that crumble under your feet, and silent floors where every sound brings the Warden closer.
• Other worlds. Floating islands in the sky of the Aether, and somewhere, hidden, a secret way into a burning Nether fortress.
• Special rooms. Healing fountains, trapped chests, heart shrines, gear-upgrade shrines, locked vaults and more.
• Four difficulty levels, from Easy to Nightmare, each changing your final score.
• A global leaderboard at mrhobbits.com, plus floating top 10 boards in the plaza.

Built for parties

• Up to 4 players share a run.
• Every chest has its own loot for each player, so nobody fights over the diamond sword.
• Fall in battle and you watch as a spectator, unless your friends bring you back at a resurrection shrine.
• Scores are individual: your kills and your gear are yours.

Getting started

1. Install this modpack in the CurseForge app and press Play.
2. Create a new world with commands enabled.
3. Open the Essential menu and host your world, then invite your friends. They'll need this modpack (or Essential and Mr Hobbit's Dungeon) installed too.
4. Party up with /dungeon party invite <player>, and your friend types /dungeon party accept.
5. Step onto the glowing pad in the dungeon gate, pick a difficulty, and go.
