Moonseed CottageCore

Hello Minecrafters! I’ve created an updated "retro/old school" cottagecore pack for 1.12.2, & I am truly excited to share it with you! This is my interpretation of a Minecraft world in which natural elements, cooking, farming, arcane & earth magic, exploring, & building are key ingredients to creating cottagecore. 

Moonseed CottageCore is my combination of some of the new Minecraft updates with “old school” Minecraft mods bringing both arcane/dark magic & earth/light magic into play. I have been wanting for a long time to play some of the previous magic mods that are no longer being updated but also wanted some of the newest updates that Minecraft has to offer. 

This is a mid-sized pack with around 250 mods. 

I created this pack with a desire to go back in time some, as I was truly missing the use of Astral Sorcery & Thaumcraft & had a desire to build a cottagecore world with these mods as a source of inspiration. 

We have some new mods & some of our tried & true favorites in here! We’re going to take a journey through modded Minecraft.  Of course, there are your typical monsters & scary things here & there such as Grimoire of Gaia.  We will be able to create a mystic & magical world in relative peace. Hint: You can always place one of the torches from Torchmaster in your area to prevent mob spawns. 

Let’s take a journey through our Minecraft worlds & visit all the exciting structures & villages as well as homes from Little Structures & Additional Structures, both new & old. We have places to visit in various biomes to include Biomes O’Plenty, Mysterious Biomes, & Oh The Biomes You’ll Go. 

One more thing, while out adventuring, you may come across the gatekeeper from Blue Skies &, don’t forget, you can also visit the Betweenlands & the Twilight Forest. 

Once you find a place to settle in, there are amazing building blocks (with some cool structures - trying not to give spoilers), decorations, & friendly animals (Animania, Better Animals Plus, Wizard’s Animals) to create a comforting & cozy home (Reeve’s Furniture, Charm, MrCrayfish).

You will find magical items from Artifacts & can decorate using Decocraft & Natural Decor Mod as well as items from Caves & Cliffs with azaleas & copper blocks. Set up a gorgeous kitchen in which you can create delicious foods to take on your adventures or to fuel your building endeavors (Cooking for Blockheads, Pam’s). 

While out on your travels collecting materials to use in Forestry or gathering new friends (Magic Bees), you will be able to return home through the use of Waystones or use the /home feature. Also helpful for your travels is the use of backpacks & other storage options (Travel’s Backpacks, Simple Storage Network, Storage Drawers) in which to place your materials. I almost forgot, there are a few collectible mods as well, so make room in your builds for all your knick-knacks (plushies & Mine Trading Cards). 

Of course, what would any magical cottagecore world be without a few choice weapons (More Swords Legacy & Tetra) or delve into the magic arts with Blood Magic, Nature’s Aura, Bewitchment, or EvilCraft. These are not your only options but just a few to work with if you choose.
