Moon Meadow

Moon Meadow started out as a secret project that I was testing out mods with friends for an official modpack to upload to curse forge. Some of the mods in the pack have been replaced with spigot plugins to allow lower end systems to be able to play without lagging too much.

GUIDE 1.12.2

• -If it looks like it will kill you, it probably will.
• -Drink water with empty hand, crouch, right click on water source block, can also drink from rain if it's raining. However, if you want to avoid the thirst effect, purify a water bucket through smelting.
• -Right click to harvest fruit off of trees
• -Don’t go into the nether unless you know you won't die the second you walk through the portal.
• -Several ways to combat the hot/cold, there's campfires and wool clothing for the cold, jelled slime for the hot.

• -Several ways to combat the hot/cold, wearing wool armor will increase your resistance to cold temperatures, and using stiffened honey armor will improve your resistance to heat
• -Drink water quickly by crouching and right-clicking a water source block or by drinking a bottle of water. However, if you want to avoid the Thirst effect, purify the water through smelting or drink a potion.

TIPS

• CHOOSE YOUR BIOME WISELY - With the new temperature and heat mechanics along with biome specific mobs, setting up shop in a desert in the middle of the summer probably isn't the greatest idea, nor is being in the mountains either during winter without the proper gear.  You simply won't be able to explore certain biomes right away until you have the necessary equipment for it, especially since certain biomes will be far more dangerous than others with Lycanite's Mobs.
• START LEVELING IMMEDIATELY - You probably noticed that to even use shears, your Gathering and Farming skills have to be at 4 each.  Start spending those levels right away, as you probably will not be able to sleep the first night or 2 regardless.  Skillable is accessed from your inventory, while Level Up! is accessed by pressing L.

SETUP & INSTALLATION

Automatic Install (recommended):

CURSEFORGE LAUNCHER:  The Twitch Launcher is being replaced with curseforge's own launcher which you can download here:  https://curseforge.overwolf.com/

 This is the easiest way to install Moon Meadow.  Link your Minecraft profile, go to browse modpacks, find Moon Meadow and install, click play, that's it!

Manual Install (advanced users only):

• FORGE: The release versions of the modpack should work, but in case it breaks and there isn't an older version of the modpack to roll please comment or contact me.  
• PARAMETERS:  From what I was able to test, the default 1GB of RAM that is allocated won't be enough.  Recommend allocating 4 to 5 GB's of RAM.  You can do this by going to Launch Options, enabling JVM Arguments, and changing "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx4G''.  My JVM Arguments looks like this:

-Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M

• FILES:  (For manual install using the server pack only, which can also be used for clients as well) Make sure there is nothing in your Mods or Config folders, then copy the folders over from this modpack into your Minecraft directory.
