Q: Do you need optifine?
A: I recommend adding optifine for the huge fps boost that it gives.
Q: Can I remove/add mods?
A: Yes but if you remove it might break quests so you should not remove mods.
Minimum allocated RAM 3GB-4GB but for those with high render distance and or shader packs 5GB
