You can forge custom tools and armor with Silent Gear.

 

You can become an Archmage and cast powerful magic spells from Ars Nouveau

 

You can construct massive machines and moving contraptions via Create

 

You can create massive storage networks using Applied Energistics 2 and provide your equipment with energy from Powah

 

There is also lots of new blocks to build amazing things with
