Mobpocalypse

A post-apocalyptic survival modpack by thekinghogarth

Five years, Two versions later,

So, I made a modpack that I never published five years ago for 1.7.10.

It never really took off, but it stuck with me all these years.

Today, the pack is being made for 1.12.2 and will include recipe changes and new structures.

 

What is Mobpocalypse?

Mobpocalypse is a mod pack that focuses on making mobs and survival more difficult.

 

Resources like trees, ores, water, and lava will be harder to find, as the world was drained of it's base resources.

So scavenging through structures is the only way to find some.

 

The mobs are everywhere. Creeper and Slimes will spawn during the day. Nether mobs will spawn in the Overworld. Silverfish traps will spawn in caves.

 

Thirst and body temperature are new mechanics add by Tough as Nails that will make surviving harder. Pam's Harvestcraft and Brewcraft drinks will be compatible.

 

Development Phases

These are the phases that the pack will go through. Every major update will add a feature from each phase:

 

Phase 1: Wide Changes Phase:
Add drink data for Tough as Nails: Harvestcraft drinks work with Tough as Nails, juice is a lesser alternative to water, soda can dehydrate, Brewcraft alcohol dehydrates worse then soda-80%
Moon and darkness changes: Bloodmoon only show up on full moons and Hardcore darkness based on moon phase-50%
Config Unidict and JAOPCA-Complete
Disable all modded structures: Techguns and Immersive Engineering-Complete (might be more)

 

Phase 2: Biome Phase:
Make the world a little more "apocalypse": remove trees and other plant life, drain lakes and rivers-0%

 

Phase 3: Resource Phase:
Remove or lower ore spawn weights-0%
Make Structures to scavenge from: Note, the structure phase will add village and dungeon structures-0%

 

Phase 4: Mob Phase:
Make Creeper and Slime spawn during the day-0%
Add Silverfish traps spawn all over the world-0%
Change mob drops: This includes normal drops and Infernal drops-0%

 

Phase 5: Structure Phase:
Make new villager houses-0%
Make new dungeons-0%
Make Easter eggs-0%

 

Phase 6: Recipe Phase
Create a tech tree: Starting Immersive Engineering and spitting into Thermal Expansion, Mekanism, and Nuclearcraft-0%
Make Thermal Expansion dependent on Immersive Engineering: Require the Arc Furnace or other machines to craft Thermal Expansion components-0%
Make Mekanism able to be scavenged: Build Mekanism based structures, like factories and power plants-0%
Make Nuclearcarft independant from all other mods: Immersive Engineering machines will just make it easier to craft Nuclearcraft machines and components-0%
Make recipes more difficult: Change recipes for things like beds, ammo, weapons, tools, doors, gadgets, simple machines, parts, etc.-0%

 

Phase 7: Questing Phase:
Make Quests Lines: Surviving the Wasteland, Tech Tree, Mob Hunting, Scavenging, and Bonus Quests-0%
