MMO - Let's Go! v0.1.8 The Loot Update Changelog

What's an Adventure RPG without treasure?

With this update, we've fleshed out the framework for loot of all kinds! New loot tables have been created, tailored to fit the themes and needs of the three primary disciplines. Coins have been added as a loot drop to nearly every hostile mob in the game, giving a steady access to currency. All villagers' trade tables have been updated to use coinage instead of emeralds.

Coins and Treasures!

We've reworked our vision for currency in the game world, starting with the value of coins themselves. The four denominations of currency are copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins, with each coin after copper being worth 8 coins of the previous kind. So therefore 1 platinum is 8 gold, is 64 silver, is 512 copper.

New Loot Tables

As with the Roguelike Dungeons, almost all aspects of the MMO - Let's Go! design revolves around the Tri-Discipline Model, including the loot found in the dungeons themselves. To this end, we have created loot tables for distribution in treasure chests throughout the world. Each of these new tables corresponds to the BAWLS, GRAYCE, and SKILLZ disciplines, and contains items both used and produced by their respective mods.

- New loot tables for GRAYCE-, BAWLS-, and SKILLZ-themed loot!
- These new loot tables have been integrated with Roguelike Dungeons, so get in there and get your treasure! (new worlds or regions must be generated to see this loot)
- Each of these loot table branches contains over 140 items to discover

New Mob Drops

MMO - Let's Go! boasts a roster of hundreds of mobs! But not all monsters inherently had drops. We've aimed to fix that by adding at least one additional drop to every mob possible! This is in addition to adding coinage for all mobs based on their tier. A breakdown of the average values is below:

- Tier 2 - 1 copper coin
- Tier 3 - 5 copper coins
- Tier 4 - 25 copper coins
- Tier 5 - 1 silver coin
- Tier 6 - 5 silver coins

Custom Bounty Board System

Bounty boards now spawn in villages. The blocks provide procedurally-generated bounty-board-style quests for players to dig into and challenge themselves for some special rewards! We've rebuilt the value charts for bounties to reflect the mods included in the pack. There are millions of possible bounty and reward combinations, so there's a little something up for offer for everyone!

Custom Villager Trade Tables

This one was a doozy. Using Villager Trade Tables, we have completely reworked the trade offerings of villagers across the board! In this first pass, all original trades have been removed from existing villagers, modded and vanilla. We've done our best to preserve the spirit of each villager career and profession. Key changes are listed below (broadly):

- All villagers no longer purchase items, they only sell (they're trying to make money after all)
- All villager trade deals are conducted in coins; particularly copper and silver
- Several new villager careers have been added, each with custom skins!
- Over 700 unique items on offer!

Other Changes

- Created missing ore dictionary entries for Titanium and Element
- Added Erebus tin to the Tin ore dictinary entry
- Changed the WorldEdit wand produced by the //wand command from the Wooden Axe to the Mithril Axe (an otherwise unused asset)
- Renamed the bronze coin to copper coin to fit new coinage theme
