Order of the Stone – Update 1.6.0

A major polish and completion update — I also finished the tiering system, every tool tier now feels like it has a purpose, with the special items, that you will use early game all the way till late game.


⚒️ Tier System Completion

Each material tier now boasts its own signature tool or weapon, rounding out progression from start to finish:

  • Wood Tier – Bow 🏹
    Classic ranged option, for hitting enemies long distance.
  • Gold Tier – Trowel 🏗️
    Randomly places blocks from your hotbar, I hate trying to make walls and paths look natural.
  • Iron Tier – Spear ⚔️
    Charge and release for long-reaching attacks.
  • Emerald Tier – Rod of Wind 💨
    Boosts you by allowing you to fling yourself in the direction you are looking.
  • Diamond Tier – Horse Armor 🐎
    Lets you protect your horse by gearing him up in shiny armor.
  • Cobalt Tier – Battle Axe 🔵
    Ideal for crowd control with the sweeping attacks.

🪙 Note: These all aren’t new — this update completes the tier lineup, finalizing each material’s identity.


🪞 Visual & World Improvements

  • Drawer textures reworked to match doors and trapdoors for full visual consistency.
  • Added Ambient Occlusion to leaves.
  • Fog now matches the classic 1.8 style instead of appearing alpha-like.


🚂 Gameplay & Mechanics

  • Minecart Speed Boosts:
    • Rails over gravel now increase speed.
    • Two gravel layers increase velocity even further.
  • Ice boating removed for travel balance.
  • Minecart track added to the tutorial world.


💎 Amber & Items

  • Amber added — found in mountains. Can repair any tool or armor, regardless of material.
  • Useless Clam Shell item added, found while fishing.


🎶 Audio Additions

  • Title screen music now includes: Flake, Moog City 1, Beginning 1, Droopy Part 1 & 2, and Door.


🖼️ Title Screen Panorama

  • New nighttime town panorama added. Panorama toggleable in the Texture Packs menu (default: ON).
