Rekindled is a Vanilla+ modpack aimed at rejuvenating long-time players' experience while retaining the core feel and progression of vanilla Minecraft. Its goal is to evoke the same excitement and wonder one might have had when first playing Minecraft years ago while staying true to its roots as an exploration-survival game.
Dozens of vanilla-friendly biomes, mobs, items, and quality-of-life improvements come together to form Rekindled. Most important, and unlike many other 'Vanilla+' modpacks, Rekindled contains NO FAT—each mod serves a purpose! Additionally, there are zero progression-breaking loot chests or late-game items within the first ten minutes of starting a world and no cheap or unfair instant-kill mobs to spawn camp you.

"What can I expect from Rekindled versus other Vanilla+ modpacks?"
Let's cover the basics first, shall we?
• Rekindled adds over 100 visually impressive and exciting biomes to explore across four dimensions (Atum 2 included), revamped cave generation, dozens of new structures and ruins to uncover, hundreds of new blocks to build with, and thousands of craftable items!
• New purposeful creatures roam the Overworld, caves, Nether, and End with unique AI and interactions, which drop special items, offer new challenges, liven up your experience, and more!
• More craftable tools and weapons gives you more to strive towards, reinvigorating your early-game survival and completely changing your late-game conquests!
These three core changes lead to semi-reworked player progression. The days of punching trees and spelunking with stone tools on Day 1 are no more! You'll need to craft flint tools to harvest wood and iron, and matchboxes to light your torches, creating a new emphasis on early-game survival akin to the old Minecraft Beta days.
You'll likely spend your first night hiding in a dirt hovel with the materials you need to evolve your inventory rather than settling into bed for your first night with a full set of iron armor!

Rekindled is my take on a 'proper' Vanilla+ moddpack. I was tired of browsing various modpacks and finally finding one that looked promising, only to create a world and find an unguarded structure with three Golden Apples and Protection IV Diamond Armor within twenty feet of my spawn... That, or a nigh-unkillable miniboss mob would instantly kill me out of the blue in my first five minutes of exploring the world.
Because 'Vanilla+' means 'find end-game loot in six minutes of starting and fight giga-bosses every twenty feet,' right?
Well, I say NO! To me, Vanilla+ should feel like regular Minecraft with additional content that positively adds to the experience. It should enhance the core Minecraft experience, not turn it into a hardcore survival game or a sub-par roguelite Terraria. If you feel the same way, try giving Rekindled a spin!
