It's just better. Nothing special about it, just better.
Make Minecraft better. Adds some client-sided stuff, some cosmetic and some with features. Won't give you an unfair advantage, so I think servers will be okay with you using it.
Mostly just for my friends but feel free to use it
For this to work, you need to add the file "OptiFine 1.15.2 HD U G1 pre23" from https://optifine.net/downloads (remember to click "show preview versions") to the folder /mods
Includes Sildur's Vibrant Shaders and the Faithful texturepack, so credit to them
