Minecraft Expansion Addition

Experimental
This modpack takes heavy inspiration from RLCraft. It aims to smooth out Minecraft's progression while tying together lore from various mods that I love to play.

This mod originally started out as me adding and removing mods from RLCraft to just improve my experience. However, I eventually decided to begin my own project. This is the culmination of that. This modpack aims to fix Minecraft's progression by adding some more challenging aspects as well. Such as no natural regeneration, thirst, temperature, mob scaling, locational damage, and some scary monsters to look out for. I am working on both lore and a custom wiki for this modpack so stay tuned for that. (I am not going to use fandom due to their dishonest business practices).

Getting Started:

1. Getting wood

Unlike traditional Minecraft, all blocks except for dirt and gravel require a tool to break, this includes wooden planks and logs. To get an axe to cut wood, either find one in a generated chest... or start digging up gravel for flint.

2. I have flint... now what?

With your flint in hand, you need to find a stone or some other hard block like bricks or even obsidian to turn your flint into flint shards. Next you need to find a stick. Sticks can be obtained by breaking leaves or by finding them on the ground near trees. You use a stick and a flint shard to craft a flint knife which you can then use to cut grass and obtain plant fiber.

From there, you use the plant fiber to make a string substitute which is used to craft a flint axe. This axe lets you finally cut down trees. Another tool recommended to work towards at the beginning is the Novice Spell Book. This book can serve as a multi-tool. Although it isn't perfect at everything, it is heavily recommended to get this early since it makes so many things convenient.

3. Shelter

Because all of this takes a while and the sun is likely beginning to set, you will need to find shelter. Unlike normal Minecraft... the nights in this modpack are brutal due to the powerful monsters that can spawn. So unless you are well equipped with diamond armor or even better... it is best to find shelter in one of the numerous structures you can find in the world.

4. Difficulty

This modpack is hard. You will die in a lot and in a lot of unfair ways. You will also be very weak at first. Because of this, when you die, you will not lose your items. Keep inventory is not on, but when you die, your items will be saved in a gravestone until your return. So even if you die, you won't lose your items, but... getting them back won't be that easy either.

5. Utility

As mentioned before, the spell books from Ars Nouveau are incredibly versatile. Essentially they are a multi-tool, but they won't be the best at everything. (You should still bring a sword or whatever weapon you choose to a fight) As you might've noticed as well is that there are no backpacks. Don't need them with the capsule mod!

6. Progression

In order to use certain weapons or to wear certain things without being afflicted with negative effects, you need to gain xp and level up. XP is gained by doing. The more you fight, the more your combat level increases, the more hits you take, the more your endurance level increase, etc... There are benefits to leveling up your skills aside from just being able to use better equipment, this is especially true for endurance, combat, agility, and magic, allowing you to have more hearts, deal more base damage, run faster, and jump higher respectively.

7. Bosses
There are over 40 bosses hidden all over the world and across all dimensions to challenge and defeat. Finding them will be up to you. Some are easier, others are harder, but they certainly are not pushovers.

8. Exploration

This modpack has a heavy emphasis on exploration, however, do not be discouraged to build and create impressive bases.

9. Lore

The lore of the modpack is centered around Brass Amber's Battletowers. The lore will be told through custom advancements.

9. Final Boss: The final boss is the Witherstorm. It is stronger than ever and normal vanilla gear won't be enough. It is heavily recommended that you prepare for this fight. You don't need to prepare to begin the fight, but don't say you weren't warned.
