Minecraft Earth Remake

About This Modpack

Minecraft Earth may be gone, but this modpack is designed to bring as much of its experience as possible back into Minecraft Java Edition.

There are already plenty of Minecraft Earth-based modpacks out there, but a lot of them seem to follow the same idea: toss a bunch of Minecraft Earth-related mods together and call it a Minecraft Earth modpack.

Minecraft Earth Remake is meant to go further than that.

I tried to choose mods for specific reasons: recreating Minecraft Earth's mobs, visual style, building mechanics, tappable-style exploration, world features, animations, sounds, multiplayer experience, and other parts of what made Minecraft Earth different from normal Minecraft.

Some additions are not directly from Minecraft Earth. Those are included when I think they help recreate a feature, make the experience feel closer to Minecraft Earth, or make the modpack work better as a complete game.

Minecraft Earth Content

Minecraft Earth Reborn — One of the main Minecraft Earth mods in the pack and an important part of bringing Minecraft Earth content into Java Edition.

Earth2Java — Adds Minecraft Earth-inspired content and helps bring features and creatures from Earth into Java Minecraft.

Earth Mobs Mod — Adds more of the mobs associated with Minecraft Earth.

Earth Mobs — Another Earth mob implementation included to expand the selection of Minecraft Earth creatures.

Jeremy3463's Earth Mobs — Adds even more Minecraft Earth mob content so the pack isn't limited to what a single Earth mob mod recreates.

PSball's Earth — Adds additional Minecraft Earth-inspired content to the overall remake.

Unearthed — Adds content that fits the Minecraft Earth exploration and discovery side of the pack.

Earth GUI — Helps make the interface itself feel more like Minecraft Earth instead of leaving the pack with a completely normal Java Minecraft presentation.

Earth on Moon – Texture Pack — Used as part of the pack's Minecraft Earth-inspired visual presentation.

Torrezx-McEarth Effect! — Adds additional Minecraft Earth-style visual effects.

Earth Map | World — Gives players Earth-related world content rather than making the entire experience depend only on normal Minecraft world generation.

Mob Variety

Minecraft Earth was known for having unusual variants of familiar Minecraft animals. These mods help reproduce that feeling.

More Cow Variants — Adds more cow appearances and helps recreate the idea of discovering different animal variants.

More Pig Variants — Does the same for pigs.

More Chicken Variants — Expands chicken varieties and makes ordinary animals more interesting to find.

Building and Interaction

One-Click To Build Structure's — Helps reproduce the quicker, more accessible building style that makes sense for a Minecraft Earth-inspired experience.

Village Builder — Gives players additional ways to construct and develop structures.

Multi Builder Tool — Makes larger building projects easier and fits the building-focused side of Minecraft Earth.

Carry On — Lets players physically move certain blocks and entities, making the world more interactive.

Carry On Extend — Expands Carry On's functionality.

EMF Compat: Carry On — Helps Carry On work properly with the pack's enhanced entity models.

Sit Everywhere — Adds more interaction with the environment by allowing players to sit in more places.

Sleep Anywhere — Adds another convenient world interaction.

Hold My Items - Reforged — Visually displays held items more naturally and makes the player feel more connected to the world.

Dive In — Improves immersion and player interaction.

Exploration and World Features

YUNG's Better Caves — Makes underground exploration much more interesting than standard Minecraft caves.

YUNG's API — Required library for YUNG's mods.

Coastal Waves — Adds waves and gives water/coastal areas more atmosphere and movement.

Cloud Tweaks — Improves the appearance and behavior of clouds.

Cloud Storage — Adds additional storage functionality that fits the expanded gameplay of the pack.

Flat World Dimension — Provides a flat-world option useful for building-focused gameplay.

Superflat World No Slimes — Prevents constant slime spawning from getting in the way when using superflat areas for builds.

Chunky — Helps generate chunks ahead of time and can improve exploration/world performance.

Visuals, Animation and Atmosphere

Fresh Animations — Gives mobs much more expressive animations.

Fresh Moves — Improves player movement and animation.

Entity Model Features (EMF) — Provides support for advanced custom entity models.

Entity Texture Features (ETF) — Provides advanced entity texture functionality.

Entity Sound Features (ESF) — Enhances entity-related sound functionality.

EMF Compat: Core — Provides compatibility support for the enhanced entity model setup.

Not Enough Animations — Adds additional player animations that normally aren't visible.

Presence Footsteps — Greatly improves footstep sounds based on what the player is walking on.

AmbientSounds 6 — Adds much more environmental ambience so locations feel alive.

CreativeCore — Required library used by mods such as AmbientSounds.

Cull Leaves — Improves leaf rendering and helps the environment look and perform better.

Multiplayer and Social Features

Simple Voice Chat — Adds proximity voice chat so players can explore and build together more naturally.

Essential Mod — Adds multiplayer/social conveniences that make playing the remake with friends easier.

FTB Teams — Provides team functionality.

FTB Chunks — Adds chunk-related team and map functionality.

FTB Library — Required library for the FTB mods.

Items, Crafting and Gameplay Additions

The Ruby Ore — Adds ruby-related content that fits the expanded resource and collectible side of the pack.

Craftable Enchanted Golden Apple — Restores a crafting method for the enchanted golden apple.

Wither Storm's Craftable Ores — Adds additional crafting options for ores.

Lierts Mob Spawn Egg Drops — Adds ways of obtaining spawn eggs through gameplay.

Craftable Spawn Eggs and Spawners — Gives players additional control over mobs and spawning through crafting.

ChestRoulette — Adds additional variety and surprise to chest-related gameplay.

Clumps — Combines XP orbs to reduce clutter and improve performance.

Additional Content

Story Mode Season 1 — Adds Minecraft Story Mode-related content as an extra Minecraft-themed expansion to the experience.

Vanilla Backport — Brings newer Minecraft features back to 1.20.1, allowing the pack to stay on its Forge version while still benefiting from newer content.

Controls and Convenience

Mouse Tweaks — Makes inventory management faster and easier.

TP Command Distance Limit Bypasser — Removes distance restrictions that can interfere with teleportation.

Performance and Stability

A modpack with this many mobs, animations, models, world features and effects needs optimization too.

Embeddium — Major rendering/performance optimization.

ModernFix — Fixes numerous performance, loading and memory problems.

FerriteCore — Reduces Minecraft's memory usage.

AI Improvements: Performance Tuning — Reduces unnecessary mob AI processing.

Entity Culling — Stops rendering entities that cannot actually be seen.

AllTheLeaks — Helps prevent memory leaks.

Memory Settings — Helps manage memory configuration.

Crash Assistant — Makes diagnosing crashes and mod problems easier.

These aren't here just to inflate the mod count. They are required by other mods in the pack.

Architectury API — Cross-platform mod library required by supported mods.

Cloth Config API — Configuration library.

Citadel — Library required by certain entity/content mods.

Collective — Library used by Serilum mods.

Cupboard — Library/dependency for supported mods.

Platform — Required framework/library.

Bagus Lib — Library required by supported content.

MidnightLib — Configuration/library dependency.

Why This Pack Is Different

The goal isn't simply:

Minecraft Earth mod + Minecraft Earth mob mod + random mods = Minecraft Earth modpack.

I wanted the entire installation to work toward recreating the idea of Minecraft Earth.

That means Minecraft Earth mobs and variants, Earth-style visuals, enhanced animations, environmental sounds, building tools, exploration features, multiplayer tools, world improvements, and performance mods all have a reason for being here.

Some features obviously cannot be recreated exactly because Minecraft Earth was an augmented-reality mobile game and this is Minecraft Java Edition. Instead of pretending the two games can be identical, this pack tries to translate as many of Minecraft Earth's ideas as possible into something that actually works and is fun to play in Java.

For the intended experience, I recommend playing the pack with its included configurations and resource packs enabled.

If you find a bug, incompatibility, missing Minecraft Earth feature, or know of a mod that could recreate an Earth feature more accurately, feel free to leave feedback.

The goal is to keep improving this pack and make it feel less like a collection of Minecraft Earth mods and more like an actual Minecraft Earth remake for Java Edition.
