  1. PERMITTED USE

You may:

  • Download and use Minecraft But Better for personal gameplay.

  • Install and use Minecraft But Better on your own Minecraft installations and servers.

  • Include Minecraft But Better in a private modpack for yourself, friends, or a private server.

  • Create videos, screenshots, streams, reviews, tutorials, or other content featuring Minecraft But Better.

  • Mention, review, or otherwise discuss Minecraft But Better publicly.

  1. MODPACK USE

Minecraft But Better may be used as a foundation for another modpack only if:

  • Minecraft But Better remains clearly credited as the original project.

  • The original CurseForge project page is linked or otherwise clearly identified.

  • The resulting modpack does not claim Minecraft But Better itself as its original work.

  • All individual mods included in the resulting modpack continue to comply with their own licenses.

  1. REDISTRIBUTION

You may not redistribute an unchanged or substantially unchanged copy of Minecraft But Better as your own project.

You may not upload an unchanged or substantially unchanged copy of Minecraft But Better to another website, launcher, file host, or mod platform as a separate project without explicit permission from the project author.

Redistribution of a larger or substantially modified modpack that uses Minecraft But Better as a foundation is permitted under Section 2, provided that the requirements of this license are followed.

Redistribution of individual mods is governed by the licenses of those mods and is not granted by this license.

  1. MODIFICATION

You may modify Minecraft But Better for your own personal use.

You may publicly distribute a modified or derivative modpack based on Minecraft But Better provided that:

  • It is clearly identified as an unofficial derivative or independent project.

  • Minecraft But Better is credited as the original project where appropriate.

  • It does not falsely imply that it is the official Minecraft But Better project.

  • All third-party content continues to comply with its own licenses.

A modified version may not use the original project's branding or materials in a way that falsely suggests that it is the official project without explicit permission from the project author.

  1. COMMERCIAL USE

You may not sell, rent, license, or otherwise commercially distribute Minecraft But Better itself as a standalone modpack without explicit permission from the project author.

You may monetize content such as videos, streams, screenshots, or reviews featuring Minecraft But Better, provided that the content does not falsely claim ownership of the project.

However, the specific branding and original materials of this project may not be copied or used in a way that falsely suggests that another project is the official Minecraft But Better project.

The following original materials are protected under this license:

  • The project logo created for this project.

  • Original artwork created for this project.

  • Original documentation and descriptions.

  • Original configuration files and other project-specific content created by the project author.

The background image used in the Minecraft But Better logo was obtained from the SOLAS Shaders gallery and remains subject to the rights and terms of its original creator. This license does not claim ownership of that image.

No project may falsely state or imply that it is created, maintained, endorsed, or officially affiliated with this Minecraft But Better project without explicit permission from the project author.

  1. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Minecraft But Better contains third-party mods and other assets created by their respective authors.

This license applies only to original Minecraft But Better content and does not replace, modify, or override the licenses of third-party content included in the modpack.
