When it comes to Addons for Minecraft wether they are Scrips, Mods, Texturepacks , Maps or Modpacks containing them, it becomes very difficult to discribe them in a acceptable fashion.

Basically youre never able to properly describe the joy you felt while playing them or creating them. 

Having said that  , im not able to describe the fun i had while making this Modpack, the easiest way for you to see if it appeals to you is to scan through the Mods and then maybe give it a try.

Features:

- works with Lan and non Lan Servers

- new mechanics : Saturation, Thirst, Temperature

- tons of new Structures, Dungeons, Biomes and Dimensions to explore

- tons of new Mobs to tame and breed or even defeat

- tons of new decorative Blocks and Items (Chisel, Chisel and Bits, Decocraft2 and more)

- engulf yourself in one of many Magic and Magic-Tech themed mods

Description:

Creating Melstone i had the wide variation of interests conserning players in mind , trying to collect mods of different genres.

But thats nothing different from all those other Modpacks with hundreds and hundreds of mods .

Ands thats excactly why i tryed to create something more compact , fitting and balanced,

while avoiding those pesky logic flaws most Modpacks have.

Saying its for a great variety of people and magic-themed may seem like a contrediction, however it depends on ones point of view.

Mods provide players with different functions and through that are divided in genres like: Combat-addons, Exploration-addons, Ambiente-addons,

or Addons that provide the player with options, to automated tasks, and tools, to manipulate the world more effectively.

This last genre is mostly filled with Tech mods like EnderIo, Ic2 or Buildcraft yet in this Modpack i tried to give similar options with Magi-Tech mods and primitiv-Tech mods like: Ember, Roots and Botania.

But do not worrie my technically interested friend, Melstone does contain lightweight Tech mods like Forestry and SteveCartsReborn.

To conclude this description, simply said i wanted to prevent situations where you engage in combat with your neighbore, attacking him with your shiny new Armor riding on a Dragon while he hides behinds his Solarpanels in his Powersuit pointing his Laserrifle at you. 

Pro Tipp: allways be aware of the quite one, he is sure to point his Antimatter Missile at your base at some point!

When playing this Modpack:

I highly reccommend you install Optifine to play this Modpack, I have tested it with Texturepack and Shader, for me it worked like a charm.

Even if you don´t want to play with Texturepacks it will improve the performance tremendously.

Simply drag and drop the file for Minecraft version 1.11.2 into your mods folder.

Melstone is ment to be played on Hard, but either way it works just fine.

When creating a world you should keep in mind, that you need to activate Alternate Terrain Generation as long as you want it to take effect.

Its a work in progress though (see "To do List").

Keep in mind this content is temporary and might change slightly in the future, i plan to update Melstone from time to time.
