This is the beginning of something great! If you're exciting for a new, exciting adventure, you've come to the right place.
MCModWorld is a fresh mix of tech, magic, and exploration. It's a super-large modpack, so be prepared for that. In addition to integrating some of the most widely-played and loved 1.12.2 mods, here are some of the features available right from the get-go to create a fresh experience:
- Several hundred quests available on launch, even in this alpha stage!
-Quest pages revolving around monster hunting, technology, mystical botany, slacking, and (WIP) rocketry!
-Includes challenge quests! Survive a really long time while killing a ton of mobs while also rowing a boat! Can you do it?
- In-game store where in-game quest rewards can be spent
-Early version has mostly a basic store; quality of life access to materials a few clicks away, instead of a few hours of mining away
-Custom weapon templates are ready to go, and we'll be adding them to the store in future versions!
- Emphasis on optimizing different materials for different usage (melee, ranged, armor)
-Different materials in Tinkers have been optimized for different use-cases! Some are best for melee, some are best for ranged, and some are best for armoring.
-Try things out until you achieve what you're looking for!

A lot of time has been spent finding mods that work best together and splicing them together in here. Some mods have been configured for balance (Draconic Evolution armor disabled; weapons from various mods buffed to keep up with weapons in other mods, depending on the level of effort required to acquire these weapons); some mods have been configured for a more exciting, diversified game experience (Tinkers materials split into categories); and some mods we were able to leave mostly untouched. This modpack brings some of the biggest, most known mods that you've played through the years (AE2, RS, Draconic Evolution, Tinkers Construct, Blood Magic, Botania, Astral Sorcery, Thaumcraft 6, Ice & Fire, and many, many more), and a lot of effort was put into helping them blend and play better with each other. The quest lines integrate with these mods, taking you into The Midnight to slay a Cyclops, to the engineering shop to build all the machines your heart could desire, and to the launch-pad to see what the moon looks like (mods in place, quests coming soon!). I do intend on updating this modpack, so there will only ever be more to do.
Currently, the pack is in very early stages; I was losing motivation, so I decided to put out what I have, and see if there's interest. I do intend to at least finalize my initial plans (finish up shop, adding 2 more quest pages, completing Monster Hunter quest page, custom weapons to finalize quest rewards), but maintenance, further scripting & configuration, putting more effort into this page, and everything beyond is really dependent on adoption.
