This modpack also changes how startup games are like making it extremely difficult to progress normally. You will need to use Tinker's Tools to get you through.
You will need to be able to create a base with minimal resources you can get your hands on. Many recipes have changed due to mod configurations and may not allow easy access.
Levels are your gate way to advancing through the game by allowing you to simply unlock more tools and abilities.

Better With Mods will change how the game starts. You will need to create a base or a safe haven as soon as you spawn. Mobs are not difficult. You are set with gear to progress however deemed necessary.
You will need to grow Hemp. You will also need to create a Grindstone with a Handcrank next to it. This will eat, A LOT of Hunger.
Your goal is to create a Saw block and have it powered by Axles and Gearboxes. This will allow better wood production. You can power Gearboxes with Windmills and Watermills.
