Marco Zero

Hardcore zombie apocalypse in an endless world of ruined cities, highways, subways and military bases. Realistic guns, infection, injuries, blood moon hordes and zombies that hear your voice. Built to survive with friends.

MARCO ZERO

The apocalypse starts here.

Nobody knows where the first case happened. The radio talks about a lab, army checkpoints abandoned on the highways and bunkers that never opened. You wake up in a dead city, hungry, thirsty, and night is coming.

Marco Zero is a hardcore, realistic survival modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge), made for 2 to 10 friends on a server.

The world

  • Endless and full of cities (The Lost Cities): metropolises and small towns, ruined buildings, craters, elevated highways connecting everything.
  • Real subways with Create tracks you can bring back to life.
  • Marco Zero structures: army checkpoints, military bases with armories, hidden bunkers and hospitals.
  • Camps, pharmacies, stores, labs and creepy places all over the map.

The threat

  • Many kinds of zombies that evolve over the days and roam in hordes.
  • Blood moon every 7 days, with a guaranteed horde and a radio warning in the morning.
  • Noise attracts them: gunshots, engines and your own voice (proximity voice chat).
  • Full gore: dismemberment, ragdolls and bodies that stay on the ground.
  • No spiders, creepers, skeletons or endermen: the night belongs to the dead.

Survive

  • Staged infection: a bite gives you time to find the rare cure… or not.
  • Body-part injuries (First Aid), thirst, temperature, seasons and food that rots.
  • Per-player loot (Lootr) and locked chests with better loot that only a crowbar opens.
  • Realistic guns (TaCZ) with scarce ammo, melee weapons, flashlights, backpacks and airdrops.
  • Civilian cars (Immersive Vehicles) to cross the map. Mind the noise.

Rebuild

  • Create for machines and trains, SecurityCraft plus cameras and turrets to defend your base.
  • Skill trees, farming, cooking (Farmer's Delight) and furniture.
  • A 14-chapter, 94-quest book, told through the emergency radio, from Day 1 to Marco Zero.

Tips

  • Recommended: 8 GB of RAM for the game. Optional shaders (Complementary Reimagined, Spooklementary or Bliss).
  • Big map on M, enlarged minimap while holding Tab (no zombie or player radar).
